Inkbird Digital Outlet Heat Temperature Controller with Day Night Control for Brewing Aquarium Breeding Reptiles Hatching Heat Mat

> 3 dayUse 2 of these for my 180 gal reef tank. One for the sump heater and one for the main tank. I use the Apex controller as a back up and to tell me if temps are to far out. I was worried that the constant cycling on and off could cause the Neptune relay to fail. Lot cheaper to replace an Ink Bird than an Apex power block!

Greater than one weekAdded this inkbird controller to my Apex for a form of redundancy and control to avoid wearing out the relays and cooking my tank. I couldnt be happier. Runs two heaters from a single outlet space so it also freed up an outlet, and provides primary control with a similar degree of stability to my Apex. Cant get it as tight, but honestly I dont feel that it matters. Works great so far and gives me piece of mind that I have an extra means of shutting down a failed heater.

> 3 dayIt won’t let me set the night timer or the night heat, instructions aren’t very clear which makes the set up process harder and it didn’t help that I couldn’t set up the night temp. Disappointed

> 3 dayIm sure the quality is very good. The extra outlet is good for attaching a 2nd device. The instructions have mostly scientific gook that doesnt mean much for an amateur like me. The instructions are not very effective about how to set it up. I experimented for a couple of hours before I could get it to work at all. Now it works, but Im not sure how to do it again. There are a few other products available in a close price range that work just as well without the fuss. I wouldnt buy this again.

> 3 dayI have this set up with an immersion heater for a test setup in my lab. I needed a quick and cheap way to control a water reservoir temperature, and the immersion heater didnt have temp control. The Inkbird is easy to use, settings are relatively straightforward if you follow the instructions. Its good enough to keep my reservoir within 2deg Fahrenheit of the target temp and also provides a safe way to leave it unattended. I calibrated the Inkbird with a thermistor I had, as it arrived about 3deg F off.
