I have this set up with an immersion heater for a test setup in my lab. I needed a quick and cheap way to control a water reservoir temperature, and the immersion heater didnt have temp control. The Inkbird is easy to use, settings are relatively straightforward if you follow the instructions. Its good enough to keep my reservoir within 2deg Fahrenheit of the target temp and also provides a safe way to leave it unattended. I calibrated the Inkbird with a thermistor I had, as it arrived about 3deg F off.

Pros: Day/night temperature cycle feature of the 306T. Adjustable hysteresis, with separate values for day/night cycle (I have the day set to 2 degree sensitivity, and the night to 1 degree). I like the separate display for current temp (PV = process value) and for set temperature (SV = set value). Cons: Slight buzzing noise at all times which correlates with how many segments are currently illuminated on the LED display -- it is definitely not relay noise, as it remains the same with the load on/off. Strange temperature reading behavior -- it seems to lag behind actual temperature, meaning several minutes can pass without any change in temp readout, then over the course of 10 seconds the temperature readout will increase/decrease by several tenths. Still, on a long-term average it keeps very accurate temps. The instructions can be hard to follow but just stick with the programming flowchart. Overall, given the cost, I am satisfied and I hope it will last a long time and remain accurate. If it blows up, Ill come back and revise my review.

Customer service for one is on point and will try to correct the issue but this season I bought 4 units and all 4 lasted less than 3 months. They sent me 4 more for free, still all 4 went bad. As a small business owner this is not reliable enough for me as one it sets me back with wrong temps. Save you time and your hairline and buy a digiten, 2 years running strong. Pic is of the 2 working in the same setup, inkbird is off by a lot!

backup heater for my salt water aquarium. Seems pretty stable.

I have 4 of these now. You neeeeeeeed this. Aquarium heaters are under very harsh conditions and the built in temp controls are often the first thing to fail. Get a controller. Problem solved.

Excellent addition to any aquarium. Especially for multiple heater systems. I set both heaters to 5 degrees over desired temp. Controller maintains within 1 degree, normally withing 0.5 degrees of desired temp. Super easy to read LED display. Easy set at F or C readings. I have mine mounted to the wall beside the tank so I can track temps at a glance.

    Greater than one week

It failed after less then 2 years. Typical Amazon Generic Landfill Filling Junk. Also after contacting the reseller, they said its over a year, buy another. Why?? So I can have it fail after a short period again, my money, my time, and not filling landfills is far more important to me.

I use this with a CHE to keep my bearded dragons tank at the right temp. Sometimes the basking light needs a little help during the day, but running both all the time can make it too hot. And at night, with no lights, sometimes it gets a little cool. This has two time settings, so I can set it for the right temp for daytime, and it only comes on if the basking light needs help. And at night, if it drops below 65, itll turn the CHE on until it gets up to 70, then switch it off again. Setup was a little tricky, definitely needed the user guide since each setting is identified by a 2-letter code, but once that was done, its been great. The sensor seems pretty accurate, too. Overall, Im very happy with it.

I had an Eheim Jager heater that was virtually impossible to calibrate to the desired temp. and had become useless. Connecting it to the Inkbird made everything easy and I no longer worry about my fish being cooked or freezing because of the EJ heater. It took a bit to understand the directions but the Q&A on Amazon answered all my questions and once set, it truly is set and forget I wish it was adjustable to 1/2 a degree rather than 1 degree but Im happy not to see my tank temp at 84 when the heater was set at 78. Ive been using it on a 20 gal tall for 2 months and could not be happier. If you have an erratic or hard to adjust heater, the Inkbird is for you.

I bought this because I wanted a regulator for our Pacmans enclosure to give him some proper day/night cycle temps that were accurate and reliable. Setup was pretty simple, and if you need help the instructions have a great example of setting the time settings and explains exactly what each code means in the order that you will see them. Set up in a few minutes and now our pacmans home is far more temp stable than it used to be, and we are closer to replicating his real habitat now more than ever.

Inkbird day and night temperature controller is a pre-wired heating output temperature controller (No Cooling Control) with time function specifically for breeding and planting. It can be set to two different temperatures with its function of dual time cycle setting during 24 hours according to the day and night, which can more suitable for the physiological needs of animals and plants. It can be widely use in over-heat protection and automatic temperature control system of all sorts of electrical equipment for aquarium, pets breeding, hatching, fungus fermenting, and seed germination accelerating, etc. With large power output 1,200W, it"s suitable for most applications. And the temperature can be controlled more accurately with its function of temperature calibration and temperature hysteresis.
