> 24 hourI replaced my fancy 3/4 HP Moen sound-insulated disposal which was leaking at the drain connection. I thought the old one was leaking from the bottom but oh well. This disposal is smaller and works just as well. The noise comes mostly from the top anyway it seems to me so the noise level isnt much different. It seems to drain a little faster as well. If you like to grind up peach pits, chicken bones and forks this may not be for you but Im really happy with it. I had to reuse the old elbow connector as the one they supplied was too short to reach the disposal.

> 24 hourIf you have a previous mounting system that matches, installing this will be less than 10 min. Done and Done!

> 24 hourIt came as described to replace a 14 yr. old unit. Had it professionally installed & is a great improvement over the original. Only about 1/2 as loud and seems to perform at least as good if not better. Most pleased!

> 24 hourOk, so I’m a pretty handy 36 year old female. I do a lot of small repairs by myself with no problem. I did read the instructions and I watched a few different videos on YouTube before I began. Seemed pretty straight forward... although I was able to omit a few steps (I’ll explain in a moment.) What took the most time was trying to line up the notches and screw the new disposal into the pre-existing assembly. (I swapped the exact same unit.) I fought and I fought and I fought. I had the disposal propped up as best I could, so I didn’t have to hold it, but it was still a pain. I struggled for about 30-40 minutes just on this step. Then after cursing a great deal and walking away from it for a few minutes, I came back and got that thing in on the very next try. For this step being such a pain in my rear, I can’t say the ease of installation is 5 stars. I was puzzled by one thing. In an InSinkerator video online, their own employee omit steps 4 & 5 from the printed instructions. Reading the instructions for those steps had me seriously confused too. I don’t know what I was supposed to do there... but I didn’t see their guy mess with it, so I left it alone. Maybe it doesn’t apply to me. Let’s hope that wasn’t critical. And because I was swapping the same thing for the same thing, I had some leftover parts. I didn’t need the discharge tube or the upper mounting. For some reason the discharge tube wasn’t even needed on my old one - the way my pipes are set up down there. ?? Let’s hope I didn’t need it. Everything seems to be working great as of now. Hopefully all continues to go well.

> 24 hourThe Badger 5 is the gold standard. I bought a higher horsepower disposal from Costco but is was too big for the area under my sink. This unit is small but does a great job and is quiet.
