InSinkErator Garbage Disposal with Power Cord, Badger 5, Standard Series, 1/2 HP Continuous Feed, Black

Ordered the product and it arrived the next morning. It came with a cord so didnt have to buy an addition part. Watched an online video from in-sink-erator about replacement. Easy to follow directions including knockout for dishwasher hose. First time trying this and the complete install took 39 minutes. Fantastic all around.

We had the same model installed just over 10 years ago and the bearings finally seized up. This was an exact replacement, is very quiet and does the job of a disposal just fine. Glad I bought this unit, I saw others at significantly higher prices that I am sure would have worked, but this one was the least expensive and does the job. We are glad we bought it and would again.

Make sure that your disposal connection has an outlet if you buy this. Our connection did not have an outlet so we had to return this unit and purchase one of the same brand that could be connected by wire.

Replaced same model garbage disposal. Fit perfect, of course. Seems quieter. Make sure you order the correct wirering configuration.

My InSinkErator Badger disposal died after 5 years in my house. I bought this as a replacement and figured Id attempt the replacement myself. I have to admit, I was a bit intimidated by it despite being a very handy person. My fears were for nothing - from start to finish it took me (a 50 yr old female) 9 minutes to replace it myself. 2 of those minutes were spent messing with the breakers since the builder of the house labeled them backwards. Easy peasy - only needed two additional tools (hammer and screwdriver) and very little elbow grease. Bonus is that the new unit is even quieter than the old one.

the instructions do not seem to distinguish between the corded model and the hard wired model steps 17 through 21 of the instillation instructions appear to be for a non-corded hard wired instillation, not appropriate for the model we purchased. That being said the install was fairly easy and straight forward and it has been working GREAT!
