InSinkErator Garbage Disposal with Power Cord, Badger 5, Standard Series, 1/2 HP Continuous Feed, Black

This disposal replaced an earlier InSinkErator model that worked quite well for over 10 years. Used the same mounting collar so it was much easier to install without the usual issues of working under the sink. All plumbing connections matched and easily connected. Not too noisy when operating.

Good, well written, easy to understand instructions. Other than the tools and plumbers putty, everything was included. Went exactly as hoped for.

In the end the disposal is installed and working! It was frustrating to install because the instructions didnt seem to match the specs of the disposal. We had planned to manually route electricity to the disposal, but it already had a 3-pronged cord attached in the spot. This resulted in a lot more work than expected. It also came with a bunch of dents on the outside. That seemed cosmetic so we kept it and installed it. Hopefully we dont end up regretting that!

This was a replacement of 12 year old disposer of the same model Replacement was really easy. Made me happy. Hope it will work as well as the disposer it replaced.

When we purchased our house it had a pretty old Insinkerator Badger 5. Just in the 5 years weve lived here it saw a lot of use and abuse. As expected from heavily used appliances it finally died. I ordered a replacement Badger 5, unhooked the old model and popped in the new one. All in all it was a smoothish install (no thanks to me being 6 5 with broad shoulders). Heres to hoping for many more years of use and abuse for a badger 5 disposal.
