Jabsco Manual Pump Assembly f/29090-Series

My head was struggling to flush. I heard about re-building valves etc.. spend the money (very little extra) and just buy the whole pump assembly! This works like a dream and was minimally gross.

the reason for only 4 instead of 5 stars is that this is the 2nd pump I have bought from jabsco, and each time instead of receiving the 4 screws you need to assemble it, I have only received 1 or 2. worries me that their quality control cannot even count to 4.

Easy to install replacing a leaking pump.

Perfect replacement part for older nonlocking model. Thought problem was joker valve but turned out to be base valve gasket under pump assembly. New locking feature added security to keep valve closed.

Easy to install and perfect replacement for my old squeaky flushing handle. Had the job completely done in about 30 minutes. Lots of water flow with the new part !

It took me about 1 hour to replace it, not the best hour in my live as space is very very tight and, well, you know. But I got it in and it works perfectly. I was very happy to see it fits perfectly in my 1990 original head.

Save your fingers and frustration. A long (10+) phillips screwdriver would make instillation in tight spaces much easier and reduce cursing. An extra slotted flange screw is supplied free, but probably will not be needed. Be sure to keep your 4 existing (different) base screws, you need to reuse them

For years I bought the rebuild kits, pulled the pump, tore it apart, changed out the rubber parts and reinstalled. Sometimes, it worked. Now I pull the pump and install the new one and it always works.

I have been replacing the seals and gaskets by purchasing the rebuild kit. For a few dollars more I was able to purchase the entire pump assembly! The new pump has the ability to lock the handle in the down position so there is less chance of bowl content seeping up into the rinse line. It was very easy to install. NOTE that it comes with the Joker valve too. I didnt realize it and purchased 2 separately. If you have the old style pump (mine was 2001) this is definitely the way to go. I am very happy with the purchase.
