> 3 dayPerfect replacement pump four our toilet in our boat. Very easy to install. One thing to be aware of... it did not come with a joker valve installed in the output fitting. I didnt know this until after installing the pump when I noticed I was getting back fill from the holding tank. I guess you have to buy this separately, which I did and now all works fine.

> 3 dayNeeded a repair kit for the marine head but decided to change out for the upgrade. Best decision I made. New pump is so much better and the locking valve keeps water from pushing in while underway. Great price and huge improvement. If you have the old style.....swap it out with this unit!

> 3 dayI had to disconnect all the related hoses in order to gain full access to the pump assembly, but it’s done! My only concern is that the “joker” valve is susceptible to damage from freezing as the weather changes.

> 3 dayWe had an older version of this product which had been on our when we bought it, I expect it came with the boat new so it was 10 likely years old. This newer version pumbs much easier and the locking function gives you peace of mind at night.

> 3 dayI had read other comments about just buying a complete assembly versus the individual parts. For the price I paid on Amazon I totally agree. I have a 1988 Catalina 34 with the older model pump head assembly and replacing it took less than 10 minutes (pretty good for any boat project). Basically just need to remove and then re-fasten the four screws that hold the pump assembly to the base and the hose clamps at the discharge elbow. I had recently replaced my joker valve a few months earlier so I actually just swapped the discharge elbows rather than removing the discharge hose from the elbow. Im keeping the new joker valve that came with the assembly as a future spare. I also put down a puppy training pad prior to starting to help soak up any liquids while doing the swap. The pads also work great when changing your oil or fuel filters to prevent fluids from dripping onto the floor and simplifying clean-up. Amazing how much better the head works with the new assembly.
