I went to the dr and was told I’m anemic and my b12 was remarkably low. I tried these sublinguals, which are very chalky, and I have no idea if I feel any different. I feel like they don’t absorb very well, because of how chalky they are. I will try another product just to compare. But from what I understand, your body can only absorb so much at once and 1000 is way above that threshold. I do feel like I have a million days worth of lozenges

The benefits from this vitamin is difficult to maintain in seniors. I read that sublingual tablets were the way to go, taking them like you would any supplement or medicine that you chew. I can not say enough about the benefits of this sublingual tablet. My 80+ year old husband no longer sleeps away his day in a recliner. I do also give him additional (2) drinkable tablets. I began these subliqual tablets along with the supplemental and my lab test measured B12 off the charts. So I cut back on the other tablets, actually to 1/2 a day. I guess I have to find out how to take just the sublingual.

Just before this I was using another B12 supplement which was not chewable. I felt no improvement in my energy levels. I was still feeling weak after a short workout (thats when I started taking them as my B12 were alarmingly low). Even after 4 months of use, improvement was negligible. I switched to this chewable tablet option and in a month I see myself back to normal and can workout as I used to about a year ago. I dont know why are the swallowing tablets even sold at all. They arent effective when it comes to B12 vitamin. It has to be taken through tongue as even doctor advised. My 2 cents that we should always go for chewable option for B12. And this one works like a charm. After about an year of struggle and stress on why I am so weak, I now finally feel great again!

Its a good product. If you think you are going to take this and be running a marathon suddenly, not quite like that. It does work, but its mild. It just gives you a little energy boost, very subtle, you realize you have more energy or are more awake then you would be otherwise. Always check as b12 in thisbformbisbsafe and beneficial to the body but most b12 supplements uses the cheaper forms that sound like cyanide for a reason:)

I was not able to taste foods for months. And hot (spicy) foods were painful to eat, as well as very cold foods. No doctor knew (or cared) what to do for me. I was researching vitamin deficiencies one evening, and ran into the Jarrow B-12s. Read that a deficiency in B-12 could mess with tasting food. So, I gave the B-12s a try. In only a few weeks, taking 3 a day, my sense of taste returned, and pain when eating hot, spicy and cold foods subsided. I now take Jarrow regularly.

I dont know if I could love a vitamin more. I recently found out that I have MTHFR C677T gene defect. Due to that I dont absorb b12 or folate as well as the average american, and I dont absorb folic acid at all. So all those years of taking folic acid never did a thing. I have had chronic leg cramps and charlie horses since I was like 12 years old. I just assumed it was a hereditary thing since my mom deals with similar issues. Come to find out it is a sign of deficiency. I added this to my diet since it is the more bioavailable form of b12 and after about a week on it I am noticing less cramping in my legs. I added 5 bottles to my next subscribe and save to ensure that I dont run out and to give a bottle each to my mom and sister for them to try. I will probably be a life long user of this and am so thankful for a tasty option. I stick this in my cheek or under my tongue and suck on it until its gone. I feel better and I just had a friend that i have not seem in months come by and she said I look better than I ve looked in years. I dont know if that was related to this or not, but it was nice to hear.

Great taste, and non gritty. Helps keep my B12 up and its the best form, methyl. Stay away from cyano form Bs. Cyano is synthetic. Methyl is active form.

These are great for anyone with suspected difficulty in absorbing B12 (due to many factors including digestive issues, MTHFR gene variations, etc.). I decided to start on a low dose to avoid any possible negative side effects, so for the first 2 or so weeks I cut the tablets into fourths and took one of the fourths per day. The tablets are not scored, but are large enough that they are relatively easy to cut with a sharp knife. I have successfully cut them into halves and fourths. After a couple of weeks I bumped up to a half tablet, and after a couple more weeks I bumped up to one full tablet. I have been taking these for a little over a month now and havent noticed any significant positive or negative effects. However, since I have MTHFR variations, I feel that it is worth supplementing with methyl B12. If you use these properly (place the tablet under your tongue without chewing), a full tablet will take a long time to dissolve. I usually keep it under my tongue to dissolve for as long as I can stand (5-10 minutes) and then chew the rest and rub the chewed powder part on my gums (the mucus membranes throughout the mouth can absorb the B12, not just under the tongue). Next time, I will probably order the 5000 mcg tablets and cut them into fourths since that is cheaper than buying the 1000 mcg tablets (although these are already a reasonable price).

Bought this at the recommendation of my doctor as she said that I needed to increase my B12 intake. She also specified that the methylcobalamin version of B12 is better than the other more commonly seen cyanocobalamin and that a sublingual version provides better absorption than a swallowed version. A lot of the sublingual tablets are cherry flavored and I hate cherry so I thought that a lemon option would be good. To be honest this doesnt really taste like lemon to me it just tastes generically sweet which isnt bad I guess. It does take a long time to dissolve which I guess is good to give your body ample time to be able to absorb this sublingually but sometimes I get impatient and end up chewing and swallowing the last 20% of the tablet.
