> 24 hourKeeps my cutting boards looking great. I apply monthly since my boards are used daily. Depending on how much use and how the board looks, I may use one product or the other and sometimes both products. I feel like using hot water for cleaning the boards tends to remove the product over time. It does require a bit of time to let the product soak in.

> 24 hourGood product but the cream gets used to quickly. Other oils are cheaper and I believe just as effective

> 24 hourIs Mystery Oil really that much better than standard food grade mineral oil thats 80% cheaper? Almost certainly not. In fact I dont know that the composition is any different (its not listed of course). Boos blocks dont come from some magical forest and require unicorn blood for proper maintenance. Naturally theyll recommend their own product, which pads the bottom line. See also: printers and ink cartridges ... Knowing that, I bought it anyway, along with the board cream. I reasoned that as much as I spent on my Boos block, and in consideration of reported issues with splitting and/or warping, I might as well try it as insurance if nothing else, to show that I explicitly followed maintenance instructions in case something does go awry. FWIW, a little goes a long way and this bottle looks like itll last a long time. After that, Ill likely switch to generic food grade oil, but I think its worth it once at least.

> 24 hourThis product has me totally hooked. Its a Zen moment in the morning after coffee with no distractions, just working the oil or the cream into the board with my bare hands. I love it. <Preachy> In todays throwaway society, it seems strange to invest a few minutes each morning on a board that you could probably just replace annually for less money than your cost of labor to maintain it. And thats how weve gone so wrong. </Preachy> Oil the board regularly, and occasionally seal it with the cream. Both things are important, but the oil is more important and needs more frequent application. The oil seeps in to the wood and protects it. The cream seals the oil onto the board. Each time I put the board in the sink and wipe it off, the hot water eats away at the cream and then the oil. Im up to a tiny micro application once a week (a tiny bit of oil sealed in with a tiny bit of cream) followed by a major application once a month (douse it with oil, let dry two days, douse it with cream and let dry for two days.) Boards in storage also need attention about twice a year. Oil, wait a few days, then cream. Do both sides of the board, so four days total. Boos recommends just wiping off the excess the next day. I find that two days of letting the oil soak in tells me how dry the board was. After two days, if theres still excess I wipe it off before applying the cream. Then I let the cream set for two days as well. Usually theres not much excess to wipe off after two days.

> 24 hourIn general it is a product which is worth your money, gives a delicate beautiful color for your board. Just be aware, it took a half bottle to soak 3 Zwilling bamboo boards: big, middle, small.

> 24 hourWhen I first considered purchasing the Boos Block Essential Mystery Oil and Board Cream Care and Maintenance Set I was concerned that it seemed a little expensive, not excessively, but more than I paid for the mineral oil I had been using on my cutting boards. I decided to go ahead and buy it. Now, Im not sure Ill ever use anything else. Using the mineral oil alone moisturized my Boos Block but every time I used it, I would have to rub more oil on it. The Boos Block Mystery oil moisturizes so much better and the Board Cream locks the moisture in. It doesnt take much of either and its easy to use. Since moisturizing by boards with these, Ive cut on them several times, washed them, and they still arent looking dry. This is what makes the set worth spending the money on. In the long run, this method truly is less expensive because it works so well.

> 24 hourdisappointed because both of my products were not fully filled and both were under the specified weight, so i was shorted product. the oil states 16 oz. and my bottle weighed 14 oz. with packaging, so likely more like 13 oz. the cream states 5 oz and weighed 4.8 oz with packaging, so likely more like 4. disappointing given the price point to be shorted product.

> 24 hourProduct smells great and is easy to use. I take my bamboo board, make sure its clean and dry, and apply the oil. Your board will be out of commission for a full day so make sure you have an alternate cutting soarce. Once its absorbed wipe off excess, then add the cream and let your board sit another day. Supposed to do it once a month but I usually go longer. Restores the board to looking like new again.

> 24 hourI have a nice, big Boos Block cutting board. Kept in the garage, except when actually used in the kitchen. Every time the board gets returned to the garage, I lightly sand it with an orbital sander, then oil it overnight, wipe it off, creme it overnight, and again wipe it off. You should hear the comments I get on how great my cutting board looks. It has that new look and feel to it. Totally recommend the oil and the cream.
