> 3 dayBrings your board back to life! But don’t wait until it’s dull before using. Once a month is about right. Follow the instructions and your board will stay healthy. No weird smell, wipes right off. I let it sit overnight. Looks like new after each use. With how much these boards cost, this oil and conditioner are worth it!

> 3 dayProduct smells great and is easy to use. I take my bamboo board, make sure its clean and dry, and apply the oil. Your board will be out of commission for a full day so make sure you have an alternate cutting soarce. Once its absorbed wipe off excess, then add the cream and let your board sit another day. Supposed to do it once a month but I usually go longer. Restores the board to looking like new again.

Greater than one weekSince I love to cook and have Global and Wusthol knives, I had started to look for a good cutting board. As it turns out, my roommate has a cutting board that was made for him by a high school class whose teacher served with him in the Marines. The board has feet, is 1-1/2 inches thick and is 12 x 18. He had no idea what he had and had stuck it in a cupboard under the stove. I had a handyman sand it down since someone had gauged it with a knife. Although he went ahead and oiled it and put cream on it, I started using the Boos Mystery Oil. I could be wrong but I think the proper way to do this is to squirt a lot on the board and use your hand to spread it around. I think I wasted some time in using a paper towel to do this because I was simply not leaving enough on the board. There will probably be places that soak up the oil faster than others. Just go back and spread it around some more. I am also using it on the underside of the board along with the feet. Do not ignore the edges. That is probably where it will start to warp if at all. Anyway, I am just going to keep adding the oil until the board cannot absorb more and then use the cream. I will then maintain once a month. I read where someone said that it was a chore to do this. Huh? It is actually relaxing and enjoyable to see it deepen in color. I am sorry that some people appear to have received counterfeit versions of this based on their reviews. Mine were perfect and do not have any odor. I really could not be happier with the product. When I move and have to give up this cuting board, I am sure I will buy a John Boos walnut and maple block.

Greater than one weekI received my bottle of Mystery Oil, and the packaging from Amazon was great, but the bottle of oil itself looks very poorly done. For such an upscale company, I am concerned if my bottle is fake. Did someone put a Boos label on another bottle? I have applied it to my board, but curious as to why my bottle looks so rough. It looks as though the label was taped on, it’s very wrinkly with lots of air bubbles under the tape. Is this Boos Block Quality? Should I continue using it? Or did I just get a defected label on my bottle? Sooo many questions.

> 3 dayI use both Mystery Oil and Cream Care every month (1st weekend of the month) on my Boss chopping block. It is very easy to use. It is odorless. I generally leave oil over night on Friday and wipe it off Saturday morning; I leave cream on Saturday night and wipe it off Sunday morning. I use a clean wash towel to wipe off oil or cream. After 1.3 years, my chopping block looks great (with no crack) though I cook nearly every day.

> 3 dayIm practically giddy over the results! I couldnt find a good food grade stain to use so I opted for this product instead and got the exact same color I was hoping to get with a stain. I put over ten coats of oil (although after the second coat the wood was already this color) but kept waiting for the wood to stop absorbing the oil, which never really happened, so after using over half of the bottle I just moved on to the applying the cream. I couldnt be happier with this product. I did also try it on my stainless steel appliances and it brightened those as well. I dont know what all the reviews about the cream being so hard to use are about. It squeezed right out of the bottle easily and required no elbow grease at all to apply. I am in a warmer climate, but it was still about 75 degrees in my house when I took on this project. Or maybe they changed the formula? I dont know. As far as how it holds up, I dont know...I was so excited with the results I jumped right online to leave a review.
