Getting the original glue off is tough but this touch screen works! Comes with plenty of accessories.

Everything works fine except for the home button. I’m not sure if I did something wrong or the home button assembly was defective. It worked before I installed and now it doesn’t. It could be my fault, but not sure. It also took days for this item to ship. I eventually got impatient and tried to cancel, but it wouldn’t let me because it was “processing for shipment” even though it hadnt actually shipped. That went on for at least ~3-4 days before being shipped and another ~3-4 days after that to actually get o me. Other than that, everything was fine. Update: they offered to send me another one just in case the one I got was defective. Customer service has been great so far. I’ll update once again when I installed it.

Worked for about two to three months before it needed to be replaced again. Half the screen stopped responding to touch.

Very good kit. You need heat. Impossible without it. I used a heating pad. I dont think a blow dryer will work because the heat dissipates too fast. With heat all the adhesive loosens up and things are easy to take apart. The hardest step is the repair is lifting the LCD panel after you get the broken digitizer off. Also, remember to carefully clean the LCD before you adhere the new digitizer. Overall I like the quality of the new digitizer.

The replacement screen and small tool kit was overall pretty good, with two points: the pre applied adhesive on the replacement screen wasn’t super sticky, and the written instructions made no mention of what to do with the included CA cement. I suspect I was meant to apply a bit to attach the edges of the screen to the iPad bezel area. But details like that would be *real handy* for first time screen repairers. The installation itself was not bad, and the only real issue was the adhesive situation. I sincerely hope I don’t need to repair another screen but if I do, this product was pretty satisfactory and I’d at least strongly consider buying it again.

As Described. The key to this install is following the instructions. Continue Heating and patience with the old screen is most important.

It worked great. Saved us from having to pay the deductible at the school for my sons Ipad.

I purchased this as a backup for my sons iPad. It stayed in the box on the shelf until I used it. Here I am replacing the screen as intended by directions that are HORRIBLE to begin with. Now his iPad that did work before no longer works and the screen doesn’t.
