> 24 hourI love this gas can! Ive been using plastic gas cans for 20+ years and have grown used to them swelling and shrinking in the heat and cold, leaking while pouring and generally scaring the hell out of me during daily use. Ive even had a plastic CARB nozzle self-destruct while filling my tractor with diesel. Parts of that nozzle are still inside my Kubotas fuel tank 5 years later. NEVER AGAIN. This Can is amazing! Its well-built, easy to use, easy to carry, easy to fill. The spark arrestors look like they were installed with purpose. Above all: its safe. For double the price of a plastic can, this one is well-worth it. I definitely plan to purchase a diesel can in addition to this gasoline one. As with anything you care about, store this out of the elements so it lasts longer.

> 24 hourAs many other reviewers have said, this can is head and shoulders above any of the plastic junk out there. Rock solid. I love the flexible spout with the squeeze handle -- makes for excellent control when pouring and no spillage. I have had the two gallon version for years and its still going strong. No rust. No leaking. I love it. Someone asked a question about a cap, and got (politely) trounced by a few folks who said (correctly) that the cans valve is internal and wont spill. But it still needs a cap. Why? Because one day I went out to my garage to fill up my pressure washer and found a spider inside the spout tube, along with some other dead bugs the spider had apparently eaten. The cap isnt needed to stop gas from getting out, its needed to stop bugs and other crud from getting IN. My review remains a 5, because this is a minor thing. But its still a thing...

> 24 hourIve tried a dozen different plastic gas cans, all of which were difficult and extremely slow to fill an automobile. I was between the JustRite cans and Nato Jerry cans before this purchase, and here is why I went with 2 JustRite cans over a single NATO: 1. Flexible spout. - Holy cow this makes filling your car from a variety of angles super easy. 2. Vent release. - Most NATO cans will bang and bulge. A friend can hear his popping throughout his entire house during summer. 3. Wont fall over during (reasonable) transport - its 5 gal, it could tip if you take a hard turn, but NATO cans must be laid on their side, which encourages them to slide around and leak. 4. Great nozzle while being Carb Compliant. - NATO cans with plastic Carb-Compliant spouts suck as much as the plastic gas cans. And the NON-compliant have no way to control flow speed and can splash while getting in position or moving. 5. No assembling of the nozzle every...single...time. No more gas on your hands and feet. Unless you have a JEEP with actual NATO gas can holders mounted on them... BUY THIS CAN INSTEAD.

> 24 hourThis gas can is fantastic. It arrived in pristine condition, no dents, scratches or paint imperfections. I thought I ordered the skinny hose but instead I ordered the fat one. Im glad it worked out the way it did because its what I would have wanted. The can is heavy when its full so if you have a weak wrist or arm go with the 2.5 gallon can. With the safety features and functionality of this can it cant be beaten. I know its a little pricey but well worth the money. I have to drive twenty mile to buy non-ethanol fuel and I feel comfortable doing so with this can in my car.

> 24 hourI bought this pretty much as an impulse purchase, but boy am I glad I did. I have a small camping generator that I needed to get a gas can for. For my mower I have one of those 2 gallon plastic containers, and my thought was that I would just buy another one of those. I did a search for gas cans on Amazon and saw this in the list at just over twice the price. My initial thought was that it seemed almost old-timey, like the cans my grandfather kept in the barn. Honestly, I think thats why I bought it. Little did I realize how much nicer this gas can really is. First of all, its sturdy and well built, but not as heavy as I thought it would be for steel. Even full I can comfortably lift the can without feeling like its digging into my hand. Second, when you are pouring it has this really convenient lever that you can squeeze to adjust the flow with. Thats really nice if the can shifts in your hand so you dont spill gas all over the place. But third, and for me most importantly, with the plastic gas container I cant stand having it in my car for more than a few minutes, even with the windows rolled down. The fumes give me a headache and make me nauseous. Even empty those residual fumes really get around. So one of the things Id been worried about was what it would be like driving for 12 hours with the smell of gas everywhere. But when I went to fill the can up I received a pleasant surprise; this tank leaks almost zero fumes! I cant say I dont smell anything, but whatever fumes there are I barely notice. From reading the Q&A for this product I found out that when the can gets hot it does have a pressure release valve, so I guess I cant say you would never smell fumes, but under the circumstances I think thats a pretty reasonable compromise. Im going to replace all of my plastic gas containers with these; I really like this product!

> 24 hourThese cans are still the best after all these years. Don’t try and reinvent the wheel. I had a mishap with plastic cans. I’ll never go back. Lucky to have survived.
