> 3 dayI will keep this short. 100% satisfaction. Very sturdy, well made. Good construction. The pour mechanism is superior. It allows steady fast flow and must have a vacuum breaker when you pour, unlike the plastic cans that slow down as you pour unless you let the vacuum relax by turning the can up. Do not forget to buy the 5/8 inch diameter model if you want to fill a standard (not diesel) gas tank in your car. I really wish I did not waste money on two different plastic 5-gallon cans at the local big box hardware store. They leak, vent gas too easy, are hard to fill and pour, and start to crack along the knit-line plastic weld seams. These metal cans are made in the USA and are worth every penny. Do not be cheap, pay more and get these. I also bought a small can for my lawn mower. I feel much better having these from both the safety in storage and the ease of filling and using them. They also have flash suppressors which is a very big safety plus. Thank you to the manufacturer for making a quality product in the USA and for Amazon for delivering them via Prime.

> 3 dayThis is a really perfect gas can for my 2 stroke lawn equipment. Sure its got a spring loaded lid that clamps shut with remarkable force, but thats part of the secret for keeping the fuel mix fresh in storage. Flow control with the dispensing handle is clean and precise, and the parts of this can look to be made to last forever. The flex spout fits into the tank opening of even my smallest chain saw, and is long and flexible. At the rate I use 2-stroke fuel, I only have to refill this can about 4 times a year, and even with the strong spring on the filler lid, its not a problem at all. You just need to use two hands to get the gas station nozzle into the can. Then it holds itself. Despite the high price, this gas can is so much better than ANY plastic junk out there that I am going to buy another one for plain gas for the mower and never store fuel in plastic containers again.

> 3 dayWhy didnt I make this purchase a long time ago? No more plastic gas cans me. This is the best, simple to use, no spilling. Arrived quickly and in perfect shape. First time I filled it, everyone anywhere near the gas pumps made a positive comment. Most expressed surprise that they still made metal gas cans. Someone said, What a beauty. This can IS beautiful.

> 3 dayGreat gascan and no problem with it leaking. Gave it 4 stars because there was something loose inside rattling around (maybe a screw?) not sure but it has not impacted performance. I could not get it out due to screen . Overall very pleased and would have gave 5 stars if not for the loose part in the can.

Greater than one weekYes, it is that fire engine red that we all love, but it is well built. Expensive, but WELL WORTH the money ! I wasted $25 on a poorly designed Garage Boss gas can that now I have to either throw away or rig up to become useful. First time filling was almost a total disaster needing one hand on the handle, one on the safety dispensing button, all the while trying to aim the short nozzle without flooding the area in gas and attempting to tip the entire BS to allow the gas to flow. And it doesnt have a vent, so the dispensing was SLOW.....just what you want with 40 lbs of flammable liquid up in the air! I have a 1-1/2 gal. Justrite gas can for my snowblower for about 18 yrs. now and it has held up beautifully with absolutely NO paint peeling or chipping (although, I am very mindful of that when placing it on the concrete). One difference from that can to the new 5 gal. that I just purchased for my generator is the way the filler cap is opened. On the 1-1/2 gal. the filler cap (which has a really strong spring on it to keep the seal on vapors) is lifted using a locking bar attached to the silver dispensing lever. The lever is pushed in the opposite direction as used in dispensing and it lifts the refill cap open. The older design makes it extremely easy to fill at the pump as you can use your foot to press it down while filling. And as far as a cap for the nozzle, Ive been using a rubber chair tip (5/8 for standard nozzle; 1 for larger) Same tip for 18 YEARS !) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004YOFZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Oh, and in case no one has previously mentioned it, when finished dispensing and storing the can put the nozzle in the UP position and press the dispensing lever to allow the residual gas in the nozzle to drain back into the can.

Here is my honest opinion
> 3 dayI bought this after I bought the one just like it but with the 5/8 nozzle. The smaller nozzle took too long to fill the things I wanted to use it for (riding lawn mower, ATV, boat) and since they all had large fuel supply holes I got this (I understand I will need the 5/8 for cars or the smaller garden tools). I am very happy with the quality. My husband filled both tanks at a gas station a half hour away and I couldnt even tell that they had been in the car. We had been using the plastic containers, which made the car stink for days. I also hated to have to unscrew the nozzle, turn it around (getting gas on my hands) and try to get the nozzle in the lawnmower tank without spilling anything. This requires you squeeze a handle before the gas is released, the same idea as a gas pump, so nothing spills. It also feels much safer than the plastic tanks. The only downside of these versus the plastic is the weight. They do weigh considerably more. Once I add 5 gallons of gas they get heavy. That is why I got this 1 nozzle version as it takes less time before the gas is transferred. I am very happy with these cans. My neighborhood is geeky enough that I have had some neighbors stop by to see our new cans. Every guy has said that their wife wants the same as they also are a little freaked by the safety issues of the plastic cans. Highly recommended.

> 3 dayTired of fighting with plastic fuel cans with spouts that dont work, I bought the Justrite 7250430 AccuFlow 5 Gallon for fueling my garden tractor. I love how the mechanism allows fuel to flow without spillage. I got the 1 flex hose so it takes no time to gas up. Mind you holding the weight of 5 gallons of fuel in the air (as needed for my tractor) is strenuous, this can makes that effort minimal. I absolutely recommend this product. Made in U.S.A. of the highest quality, finest materials, solid, and most important its safe.

> 3 dayCan appears to have high potential and is made is what appears to be quality components; however, the finish condition of the can is questionable. Two photos of the can itself show sharp dent marks which likely are places where the can is gripped by a factory assembly machine while the top mechanism is attached. There is also one similar mark on the bottom which is not photographed. The vertical side seam is also slightly uneven. Im keeping the can because I just dont want the hassle of return because I doubt if any of these issues will actually allow a leak. If it leaks at first fill, Ill deal with Justrite rather than Amazon. My wife also pointed out that the fill cover lid spring is quite strong which I pointed out is for the purpose of sealing the can from air and/or escape of vapors. She thinks the finger/hand strength required to lift that lid while inserting a gas nozzle could be an annoyance for her. My local small engine repair shop showed me the kind of plastic can they recommend/sell is the best. I didnt listen because I wanted a metal can; Ive had an Eagle can for the past 40+ years which isnt a regulation can by todays standards but I didnt want the Eagle can because of the plastic handle top mechanism. The finish quality of the Justrite can has made me rethink. Oh well, its done! May update this review after a month of use if I have a leaker or my wifes complaints remain.

> 3 dayOkay, I hate the plastic stuff that is CA approved. The spouts dont work. The spouts spill more fuel than the old not environmentally sound do. My truck is 8 inches higher than most and the CA approved fuel cans just plain suck. Now that that is out of the way, the Justrite can is like the cans my grandfather use to have on his boat some 40+ years ago. Yes, they are heavier than plastic. Yes, they do NOT hold a full 5 gallons (4.7 roughly). However, I trust these cans. These have spark arrestors. These have pressure releases. (Ever had a collapsed/expanded plastic fuel container?). I can also lift the can and fill my truck with no spillage due to the extra long flexible spout (5/8). A con. The flow control handle has some slop to it. I do not like slop but do not consider it a problem.

Greater than one weekIve bought several nylon gas cans since the mandate for spill-proof and none of them are. But this one is different. Made of galvanized steel with filter in the input port. Perfect control of dispensing with the bail and zero spills. Easy and safe to fill from the pump. Going to get a one gallon next for my 2 stroke gasoline. Last one youll ever buy. Awesome product.
