> 3 dayI bought this product 5 years ago. I was telling a friend about it who asked me if I knew where to find an old gas can without those new safety features. I love this can so I came back to give it a five star review. It seems like it will last forever, and everything about it is easy to use. I will never ever go back to using those cheap plasticy things.

> 3 dayI did not experience the problems other reviewers had. Can arrived intact, no dents. Have not dispensed gasoline from it, so I can’t promise it doesn’t leak, but it looks sound. I was in pharmaceutical maintenance and attended fire school, where I learned this is the safest way to store and dispense gasoline. I agree it would be nice to have a grip on the bottom of the container- just wear gloves.

> 3 dayOver the last several years I have gone through several plastic gas cans. They just fall apart, and they are extremely awkward to use when filling up my lawn equipment. I finally broke down and spent the money on this metal can. It has met or exceeded all of my expectations. The fact that it is made of metal I feel like it should be the last can I will ever need to buy. It is very easy to fill lawn equipment with the adjustable pull handle and not have gas spill out. You can adjust the flow by varying the pressure on the squeeze handle. Filling the can is a bit more problematic. The lid is spring loaded and you have to hold it open and try to get the gas nozzle in at the same time. Its not overly difficult to do. I just put my foot on the can and use one hand to open the can and the other to hold the nozzle. Once the nozzle is in the can you dont have any problems with the lid. The good news is that since the lid is spring loaded once the gas is in the can, the spring keeps the gas from leaking out and you dont have to worry about you car smelling like fuel. All in all its just a slight inconvenience for the superior quality of the can and its performance. If you are looking for a high quality gas can that works and that will last, this is your can.

> 3 dayOverall the build quality is very good, I have two issues: 1) This locking nut pictured above was stuck in the bottom of one of the new 5 gl cans. It came loose during the refueling of my boat! Fortunately the safety flash screen kept it from entering my boats fuel tank. A little more attention to QA is definitely required. 2) In may particular case I could benefit from a longer nozzle option to fill my boat. You cannot tip the can up high enough to get all the gas out. Again, may be an issue with any of these type of cans, but a longer hose option would solve the problem.

24-11-2024I love this gas can! It is perfect! had given up on the latest cheap plastic containers with their poorly designed plastic valved spouts as required by EPA or CARB. Thosr cheap plastic valved were supposed to prevent evaporation but Ive spilled more gas using them. Then my neighbor showed me his metal Justrite Accuflow 2-1/2 gallon can with its beautiful shut off valve and spring loaded filler cap and I had to get one Just the right size for filling my antique motorcycle or snow thrower with ethanol-free gasoline without spilling a drop. And the ruggedness & quality are simply amazing. Worth the price.

> 3 dayFor those of you who have never purchased a Justrite Safety Can, I offer this short recommendation. I have owned several Justrite cans over the past forty years, and I continue to purchase them due to their safety features, ease of use, and durability. The galvanising on the cans is of good thickness and quality, and with proper use and storage, the Justrite can will offer many years of dependable service. These are the same petrol containers used by industry, government and military installations. I am certain that a few individuals have had a spot of trouble with the pour spout or other mechanisms, however Justrite is a very good company with which to resolve product issues. The price may seem a bit dear, but the length of service offered by this safety can (when properly cared for), far outweighs the initial purchase price. For many, once you try one of these containers, you will never go back to plastic or inexpensive poor quality cans. Lastly, they are a wee bit heavy for some persons, so choose your justrite wisely...They are offered in many volume sizes, which will compensate for their overall weight of construction. W. H. Hope

> 3 dayThese Justrite gas & fuel cans are simply awesome! Sure, they are a little expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for with this product! I now own 2 of the 5 gallon cans with the 1” spout and 2 of the 2 gallon cans with the smaller spouts. All of them perform excellent! Quit struggling with the terrible plastic ‘junkcans’ and order yourself or your contractor buddies one of these ASAP! Oh and by they way... Ray at Pro Supply Co. immediately replaced my latest can that got crushed in transit, so not only will you get a great product, it comes with outstanding customer service!

Greater than one weekWorks perfectly, buy very expensive. I really needed a can where I could precisely control the gas flow, so I bit the bullet. But why in the heck is it so expensive? Id buy again because I really needed the control, but I would not recommend it for your average Joe.
