Just tried it today, and man oh man does it make a difference when working on RC Cars. Magnets held the screws great, nice study mat that didn’t slide around. Very nice quality, and really like the color.

Excellent soldering may, very helpful in preventing loss of small screws as well.

Ive used this pad for soldering a few times, it seemed to work great, no complaints. Just used it with a heat gun today and noticed the pad bulging underneath my component (I was using 450 degrees celcius). I thought the pad was permanently damaged but the bulge mostly went away and it still seems to be functional, though there is a permanent white burn mark on the pad. That being said, I was also burning the PCB at the same time, so this pad is probably good enough for anyone that knows what theyre doing and isnt applying constant 450 degree temperatures to a small point on the pad, which isnt good for electronic components just as it isnt good for the pad. 4 stars just because the pad advertises itself as resistent up to 500 degrees, and I dislike misleading advertising.

First I would like to thank the manufacturer for putting a large warning on the bag that there will be an initial very strong odor. having epileptic seizures triggered primarily by external stimuli ie strong scents it was greatly appreciated. alright onto the product itself works good for my needs being i find myself often soldering in my lap while my helping hands are busy just holding things Ive yet to burn anymore hole in my clothing. Random debris doesnt clean to it like I thought it would so that is also a bonus. Id purchase again though its quality leads me to believe i wont need another for a long time.

It is really useful and it feels safe. The lides does not keep closed, the magnets are strong and keep the screws on the surface
