22-11-2024I love this book light. Its small but powerful. It even fits in the outer pocket of my Kindle case by Belkin (tho, its for the 2nd generation Kindle not the latest, which I have so theres a little extra room.) I dont understand people who say its not bright enough. Ive not found that to be a problem at all. The one thing I dont like about this book light is the placement of the power switch. Its located in the exact place you need to place your thumb to squeeze open the clip. That means every time you put it on or take it off the Kindle, youre either turning it on or turning it off unintentionally. Thats kind of a pain but not a deal-killer. I do think the price is a bit steep as well, but that obviously didnt keep me from buying it.

> 3 dayAt $20, the Kandle is probably the best reading light I have used. The three bulbs give even illumination across the screen and from top to bottom. The clip-on design is wide and provides a stable fit across the top of my Kindle. The gray color closely matches that of the Kindle. The design is very ergonomic and compliments the Kindle well. I have used various lighting solutions for my Kindle e-reader and found that the Kandle works best for me. Other worm lights and even the Kindle lighted cover do not illuminate as evenly as the Kandle. Pros: Easy use, even illumination, nice design, and long battery life. Cons: Doesnt use the Kindles battery but this is a fair trade-off.

> 3 dayBecause of all the issues I have read about and heard about with the lighted Kindle covers I refused to buy one. However most of my reading is done at night so I needed a light. I bought several different lights in the three weeks I have owned my Kindle and none of them worked the way I wanted. They didnt light the whole page, they had a horrible glare, they got in the way of my reading, they burned out quickly and so on. The Kandle on the other hand is PERFECT!!!! I can angle the light, it clips on without being in the way, there is no horrible glare, and best of all the light stays on the Kindle and not all over the room so I can read in bed and not disturb my husband. It also works great on regular books as my husband was using it the other day while reading. He also found that it is the perfect light to use in dark places with instruction manuals. I love the Kandle as it fits perfectly inside my neoprene cases zipper pocket when I do not need it. Plus the fact that for the price it also comes with batteries, an extra set of batteries and a screw driver for the battery compartment. Plus to order replacement batteries is only $5 for 25 batteries...that is a steal compared to the other lights I have purchased. I have used this light for a total of 49.5 hours so far and it is still just as bright as the day it arrived. Another benefit is that there are two light settings..bright and brighter so I can adjust it to fit my needs and neither one produces a glare. This light makes my Kindle experience even better!

> 3 dayI recently purchased a Kindle, and wanted a nice light to go with it. Despite all my friends advice, I decided against the official cover with light, and went for a regular cover and a Kandle II. I couldnt be happier with my decision. First of all, this product is very useful and in my opinion is the best at its job. It fits well on the Kindle, it illuminates the whole screen, and it has two levels of brightness. It even comes with a carrying pouch and extra batteries! If you were to change your kindle (or any e-reader) to one with different dimensions, you can still use the Kandle. You can even use it with regular books that are not too thick (it might be a little annoying when passing the pages, but you can use it with regular books). I am overall very satisfied with the product itself. Now onto Ozeri itself. There was a small problem with my order (related to the shipping process, not the quality of the product), and I received fantastic customer service from them. Really, fantastic. They were very nice all the way and did more than solve the problem. That being said, I definitely recommend the Kandle for your e-reader, and I would definitely buy from Ozeri again.

> 3 dayHi, Ive only had this light for two nights now. First night I turned it on, and absolutely LOVED it. I have the original Kandle, and feel the new design lights MUCH better. Ive read the reviews regarding the clip, and I think it works as well as the original...you just have to be careful how you place it. Im not moving much when Im using the light, so having it pop off was not a concern. I was complete in love with this light. So, I read awhile, turned the light off, closed it, and went to sleep... Fast forward to night two...I grab my Kindle (with light still attached), cozy up under the covers, open up the light (and this is where my one of my two disappointments was found)...the light was on, and had been since the night before. Seems the on off switch is exactly where I push the light to close it. Being tired, I didnt realize I had turned the light BACK ON the night before when I was closing the light. Needless to say, the batteries dont like to run 24 hours straight and then work real well, so I didnt get much reading in that second night. This morning I go to change the batteries (which, very nicely, Ozeri includes a replacement set, along with a little phillips screwdriver, with the purchase), and discovered the second disappointment. The cover for the battery compartment is partially obscured by the clip. Easy enough to unscrew, but removing it and replacing that once the new batteries are in was a little tricky for my old lady fat fingers... But, I managed to get the batteries changed, it lights wonderfully again, and tonight when I turn it off I will make SURE I turn it off. Once I get used to problem 1, problem 2 wont come into play so much. Therefore, over all excellent product that I would purchase again if I lost this one...

> 3 dayI use my Kindle a lot so when I wanted a light, I wanted one that would light the whole page, clip on easily and stay put when adjusted. So far, the Kandle II has met all my expectations. Not sure about the battery life. Ive only used it a few times but seems to be ok. I love the fact that it has 3 led lights and is wide enough to cover the whole page. It has 2 adjustments and 2 light settings which is nice for different seating positions. My only con is that it covers the on/off button on the top(I have a Kindle II), so I have to unclip it to do so, which means I forget to turn it off. But thats more of a me problem so I still love this light!

20-11-2024I have used many personal book lights in my 60 + years of reading. Most of them were flimsy and poorly designed. As for lighting ones book page... mostly inadequate. I decided to try one more time when I bought my wife a new monochrome Kindle. EUREKA !! The Kandle II actually works beautifully at illuminating the reading area, it is well made and has those little refinements (e.g. auto shut-down)that please customers. In short, after many years I have finally found a book light that I can enthusiastically recommend. It is a truly 5 star product.

> 3 dayAfter trying a competitive product three, yes, three times I moved to the Kandle product and am a big fan. The product is sturdy and easy to use, plus I like that it has two settings - bright and brighter. An additional perk, it is comes with two sets of batteries - nice and considerate. On the side, I have a four year old and it is nice to have a light that is durable.

> 3 dayThe Kandle II works wonderfully with my Kindle touch and is just what I was looking for. Please note that reviews stating that the light remains on when the unit is closed are NOT accurate for the Kandle II. Perhaps that is true with the Kandle, however the Kandle II very definitely shuts off when it is closed. In fact, the next time it is opened, the on/off switch must be re-activated for the light to come on. I love the fact that I can clip this light to any edge of my Kindle. This is particularly useful when I read in bed on my side. I would recommend this product to anyone.

> 3 dayI purchased this from Amazon to use with my Kindle Touch as I love to read in bed. It works great. I love the velvety texture of covering and that it came with extra batteries. Oh, I can still close my kindle cover while using this light also. Peeves: I was somewhat annoyed by the fact that I had to use a tiny screwdriver, which was supplied, to change the batteries and also that if I forgot to turn off the light when it put the cover down, I awakened to a dead or dying battery. I was changing them probably more often during Christmas break as I was reading all night. Problem: I used it with no problem for 2 months and then it would only flash when pressing the button. Service: I emailed Ozeri and was promptly contacted within an hour and a half with resolution for my problem. I was mailed a replacement book-light which arrived very quickly. I have to say that Michael was very courteous and I had a quite pleasant experience with Ozeri. New and Improved: I love the new book-light. It looks exactly the same at first glance but has a few enhancements. I no longer have to unscrew the battery cover but can now twist it off to replace the batteries. Now, if I forget to turn off the power, the light automatically turns off when I push down the cover. Oh, joy, joy. No more wasted batteries. I would recommend this unobtrusive little light that brightens the night without overwhelming while reading.
