I needed a light for my Kindle touch that would actually fit ON the Kindle. I also needed to be not too bright, because I wanted to read while I was nursing the baby in the middle of the night, and I didnt want it to wake him up. This light clips on via clamp, so it fits on my Kindle or on the case, and it has two brightness settings, so I can choose how much light I want/need. I find this incredibly useful. This is the third light I bought for the Kindle. The first one didnt work, and the second one didnt fit. This one was a bit more expensive than the other two, but since it works it was well worth it. I wish I would have just bought this one in the first place. I highly recommend it.

This is a terrific product. It lights up the whole screen, its so easily adjustable and theres virtually no glare. And theres no light on a pole that you have to move out of the way. I also discovered that it makes a handy little flashlight if youre looking for the bathroom in a strange house. Im very pleased with this purchase and I love the extra batteries and the little carrying case too! It seems to be very sturdy and the price was more than reasonable. Its a great value for the money. I took off one star (would have only taken a half if I could) because it could use a little more tension on the clamp. It didnt fall off for me, but it did move around and slide down onto the very top of the reading surface a few times. There was no real inconvenience here, just a little anxiety that it would fall off if I moved too fast. Update: After going back and reading some other reviews, Id like to clarify a few things. I paid $19.95 for this light, not the $39.99 price listed, so I found it to be a good bargain. Id also like to point out that some of the cons mentioned in other reviews have been fixed on the one I have. A screwdriver is no longer required (or provided) for changing the batteries and the the light shuts off automatically now when the unit is closed. This tells me that the manufacturer is paying attention and sincerely dedicated to producing a quality product. For that reason, Ive updated this to five stars.

Hi, I took a time to review several Kindle lights and general reading lights to try to make the best decision. My expectation is a good light that is small and portable, that the light cover all the kindles screen and doesnt be annoying, that it doesnt bothers my wife while she sleeps and I read (I dont want a light that illuminates my complete room, and to be a good quality and that doesnt costs half the price of the kindle. Kandle II filled my expectations, here is what I can point out: - Light has two intensities, which is great, some people may prefer more light or in some environments you may require it, or just your eyes. - I can easily clip it without removing or damaging my leather cover, also, has something in the clip to protect the kindle from getting scratch (pretty important) - You can set the position and direction of the light, which will allow you to point the light as you like it. - It doesnt illuminates all the place, it helps that you can choose how to position the light. - Is small and brings its own little bag to carry on. - The style is nice and is pretty similar to the gray Kindle, which is nice. - Comes with extra two batteries and a small screwdriver to replace them, that is nice as they dont assume you have one. - And the price is I think, just perfect. Im really happy with those $25 bucks I invested, I would recommend it.

I just received my Graphite Kandle and I am thrilled. I had a leather cover so I didnt want to spend $60 for the all in one and I didnt want a light that was cumbersome or awkward. I swear I pretty much read every Kindle light review then I read the review for the Kandle. I thought the reviews were pretty good so I ordered it. It arrived today, one day delivery thanks to Prime. This Kandle is everything I wanted--small, compact, good light to the bottom of the page, adjustable and two light settings. The piece itself has a nice feel to it, I dont know if it is plastic or rubber but it feels wonderful when you hold it. It even came with a small cloth black case and a battery. I tested the light power in a dark closet and was amazed at the amount of light. There are 3 small recessed lights and two light settings---the lower setting will be great for me because the higher setting is really bright. The only thing is I wish the clip fitted a little snugger to the body of the Kindle, I worry over time the clip might become loose and not stay in place, and this is a small worry compared to the overall quality of the light. You will not go wrong buying this Kandle.

The Kandle II works wonderfully with my Kindle touch and is just what I was looking for. Please note that reviews stating that the light remains on when the unit is closed are NOT accurate for the Kandle II. Perhaps that is true with the Kandle, however the Kandle II very definitely shuts off when it is closed. In fact, the next time it is opened, the on/off switch must be re-activated for the light to come on. I love the fact that I can clip this light to any edge of my Kindle. This is particularly useful when I read in bed on my side. I would recommend this product to anyone.

We love the Kandle by Ozeri II. I saw one being used for a Kindle on a plane in November and ordered one as a gift for my husbnad who was reading in bed holding a flashlight. He loves it and uses it all the time. Its light, very compact, and the batteries last a long time. Weve had other compact lights for night time reading but theyre heavier, inflexible and larger, and the batteries die quickly. So I just ordered one for my Kindle because were planning a big trip and I want to be able to read on the plane and in bed. Often hotel rooms have poor bedside lighting. Then I ordered an extra one for a gift for a family member. Anyone who uses a Kindle or an iPad, or anyone who reads in bed, should have one of these little lights. They are great!! Thank you Ozeri!

While most book lights for the Kindles have a clip and a swan-neck scoping out of it with a light attached, this is a more compact version that works equally well and illuminates the page but is more compact for travel. I have 3 versions of the Kindle and an ipad and it fits all 3. Better yet, there is no telescoping bendable neck that you have to mold into place each time you clip it on then reposition after you take it off and put it back on again because it would move if kept in a bag or suitcase or even during removal. This can stay clipped on and always be at hand when needed without getting in the way as my other lights have. It adjusts to the size of your e-reader, whatever it may be. And its apparently quite sturdy because UPS banged the heck out of this package and even put holes in it and it came out of the package unscathed. that is a good test for the airlines of how it will handle travel.

I needed a light for my Kindle because I share my room with a roommate who goes to sleep early. After doing some research on Amazon.com, I finally settled on the Kandle by Ozeri II. First of all, this light is small but powerful. The 3 LED lights provide the perfect amount of brightness for me to read my Kindle while not disturbing my roommate (even at the lower setting). It has a lightweight, compact design with a nice matte finish. The color also matches the graphite Kindle. The Kandle II comes with a protective pouch, 2 extra batteries, and a mini screwdriver needed to access the battery compartment. My only issue with the Kandle II is the placement of the power switch. Its located right at the hinge of the light, so if you open the light before you switch it on, it tends to close when you push the switch. Not a huge deal, just something I noticed when using the light for the first time. Pros: - lightweight - bright - nice design and quality Cons: - expensive for a book light - power switch at hinge

the brightness is crap! even on high. low setting is useless. too dim to read in the dark using just this light. i love the design - especially that it folds flush for travel and the graphite is a perfect match for my kindle 3 but it eats through the CR2032 (button cell) batteries and you need a mini screwdriver (supplied) to open up the battery door. very disappointed. perhaps if you dont like/need a lot of light to read by - because plenty of reviewers rave about this product - then try. but i dont like to have to strain my eyes. will have to try another type, perhaps the M edge light that uses AAA batteries (which are more easily available when travelling).

Overall I am happy with my Kandle II. As other reviewers have commented it is a little wobbly when you clip it on so you can still see the screen, and the light does fade a tiny bit near the bottom of the screen. However, neither of these things bother me much and I am enjoying being able to read at night without bothering my husband. Overall I am pleased with it and glad I purchased it! Updated to add: I was contacted by Ozeri and for my positive feedback, I was sent 4 extra sets of batteries for my Kandle II. I have since used all these batteries. I read about an hour at a time with the Kandle set on the low setting and am replacing batteries every 2 weeks or less. I wish I had known it was going to go thru batteries so quickly, makes it a bit more expensive now that I know that.
