> 3 daySo far (only a week old) I LOVE this product! I’m using it to control a string of MARKET lights that I just installed and it’s been working flawlessly and the app to control things is very easy to understand. It dims my lights efficiently, and I have fallen in love with the timer, allowing me to start the illumination and end of the illumination whenever I care whether it’s minutes or hours.

> 3 dayWorks fine, easy set up and Alexa integration. I am using this indoors so I cannot comment on its effectiveness in outdoor environments.

> 3 daySo nice to have such easy control of lighting outdoors. Used two of these for our string lights on our gazebo. App is super easy to use and the dimming feature works perfectly. Perfect product!

> 3 dayEvery now and again you get a product that just works. This is one of those. The setup was simple. The app is intuitive. The dimmer itself works really, really well. My LED string lights (Ambiance Brightech) can now go from fully lighting my outdoor space at night to a dimly light cozy space - and everything in between. If you’re getting a dimmer for your string lights and want an app with it - consider the Kasa.

> 3 dayWas looking for a timer/dimmer to control the LED string Lights I have going around my pool fence. The bulbs are 1w LEDs and there are 96 ( 4 strings of 24 bulbs each) of them. I saw this dimmer and figured I give it a try. Out of the box the first thing you need to do is download the app for the unit and you must also have a wifi signal in the area you are going to place it. From the app you can create on/off schedules and adjust the brightness. I was most impressed with the dimming range on my lights as they can go from 1% -100% and there is no flickering!! The unit is also controllable via Alexa or Google home. I have it linked to my Google home and so far it has been flawless. I would not hesitate to buy one of these again.

> 3 dayIve installed two KP401 (switches, for pump timers) and two KP405 dimmers. The two switches have been outside, turning water-feature pump motors on and off. One of them works reasonably well. The other seems to need reprogramming every few weeks. Im going to try replacing the flaky switch with another KP401, but if that fails Im going over to the YoLink. I would have picked the YoLink because it has much better range, but it is 2x as expensive.

> 3 dayLet’s face it - if you’re interested in buying this. You’re probably interested in setting up some outdoor string lights that you’d like to dim, and more importantly add to something like home assistant. You’ll probably never dim the lights, and once you set up a automation probably never touch that either. But it’s all about setting it up and getting it to work right? It’s not like your wife is going to be super excited by how the string lights can be set at different brightness levels for different people outside :) With all that out the way. This is actually smaller than expected, but with the smaller size comes a smaller cord. So you’ll to decide if you want this hanging off your outside outlet or drop in an extension cord. It also connect super easily (local) through to home assistant. Where you can quickly set it up to act as a light entity. Then all the really nerdy stuff of setting up pointless automations can begin. Overall - I’d recommend it - just probably not going to be the coolest thing your wife has seen.
