Greater than one weekIve installed two KP401 (switches, for pump timers) and two KP405 dimmers. The two switches have been outside, turning water-feature pump motors on and off. One of them works reasonably well. The other seems to need reprogramming every few weeks. Im going to try replacing the flaky switch with another KP401, but if that fails Im going over to the YoLink. I would have picked the YoLink because it has much better range, but it is 2x as expensive.

> 3 dayThis is my third Kasa smart plug and will certainly not be my last. I now have two dual plugs and this single, dimmable, plug. I use them in our back yard to light up our fire pit, on the front porch for Christmas lights and on the deck for controlling the pool pump and other pool resources. These plugs are ultra customizable and fully integrate with Google Home (I do not use Alexa, so I cannot rate that integration). I find it best to customize them in the native Kasa app and then can control them from any of my Google Home apps or devices. The quality of the devices is also top notch and have had no issues with them being outside, fully exposed to the weather.

> 3 dayIve tried several of the other cheaper smart plugs and its hit or miss if they work or not. I have 3 Kasa plugs including this outdoor one and they were all simple to connect (less than 5 minutes), integrate with google home and work just as I need them too. Do yourself a favor and spend a few bucks extra and get the Kasa so you dont have to deal with the headaches.

> 3 dayI bought this item three years ago. It works just fine. However, I have misplaced the covers that came with it. The company has no way to replace them. So, if you buy this item - do not misplace those covers, or else make sure both sockets are being used in bad weather.

> 3 dayHigh quality piece but you need a whole house smart system. Silly me thought I could just use it with my wifi. Returned without issue.

> 3 dayWas looking for a timer/dimmer to control the LED string Lights I have going around my pool fence. The bulbs are 1w LEDs and there are 96 ( 4 strings of 24 bulbs each) of them. I saw this dimmer and figured I give it a try. Out of the box the first thing you need to do is download the app for the unit and you must also have a wifi signal in the area you are going to place it. From the app you can create on/off schedules and adjust the brightness. I was most impressed with the dimming range on my lights as they can go from 1% -100% and there is no flickering!! The unit is also controllable via Alexa or Google home. I have it linked to my Google home and so far it has been flawless. I would not hesitate to buy one of these again.

> 3 dayI just bought a house with a pool this winter. When I was opening the pool up for the first time, the pool guy recommended I get an electrician to come out and set up some thing to coordinate a schedule, or I will have to either remember to come out twice a day to turn my pool pump on/off or have it running 24/7. Hiring an electrician to set up some new system = $$$ Buying this thingamajig = like $15 SUPER EASY to set up. I set up a schedule on my phone and forgot about it. It does everything it needs to do. The outlet its plugged into is outdoors, and its been going strong with no issues for months. With this heatwave, I want to be perfectly sure my pool is clean and ready for swimming, so I can set up temporary schedules or manually turn it on or off from my phone within seconds, from anywhere. And since I typically dont have my phone with me by the pool, the button allows you to manually control it as well. I dont use Alexa often because the voice-command system kind of creeps me out still (I only ever use it if Im cooking, my hands are dirty, and I need to know like a measurement conversion or something), BUT I tried it out once just to see if it would work and it did. All I can say about that. Im thinking of buying more for outdoor lights.
