> 3 daySo I waited 10 months to give this product a review. I work as a home inspector and I use this device almost everyday. My one and only complaint is how easy this thing powers on while in my tool pouch. I wish there was a way to protect the power button or perhaps a double push of the power button. Other then that I have had zero issues. I like the size of the readings. I photograph moisture readings and the size is great, and shows up well on pictures.

> 3 dayAfter a leak in our bathroom, I wanted to monitor the drying process. This meter did the job great and came up with similar readings to a professionally calibrated meter. Highly recommended!

18-11-2024Moisture meter seems to work well. Only complaint so far is the battery that was sent with the meter had to be replaced after making only 3 moisture checks, as the meter would shut off in the middle of a measurement . A new battery and it’s Now working fine. I have used it on hardwood, drywall, & concrete so far. I have no way to compare the readings to any other device to check the accuracy, but I have checked freshly cut oak which read above 30% and Popular that has been air drying for one year and it reads between 12% & 15% which should be about where the moisture content should be for that wood, so I assume it is fairly accurate.

> 3 dayInitially the item worked well assessing moisture content on a sailboat. Then it suddenly would only display an error message. This is clearly a cheap product that works well, most moisture meters run around $300-400, so assuming the next one works for a reasonable amount of time this will be a great value. We shall see.

> 3 dayIf you are putting in wood flooring, or toung and groove walls, this tool is invaluable. Measure your wood and substrate. Know how much its going to shrink or expand. Gaps suck! Compression bows sucketh much more. This is the solution.

> 3 dayI was skeptical about this tool but we had professionals come in after we took our readings and their tools agreed with this one. Worth the cost. It does require pressing the tool on the surface so its not for checking dampness from a distance. Easy to use and read.

> 3 dayI bought this meter to help estimate damage while adjusting insurance claims. It seems to work well and is fairly accurate when compared with the ones that the mitigation contractors use. It is not as accurate as the kind that have needles that poke into the material, but it doesnt leave marks on the material.

> 3 dayI use this to test wood from the wood pile before using in our wood stove. I dont know about accuracy, but relatively Im sure its accurate. A heavy piece certainly shows high moisture content. Very light ones measure what I would expect. So Im guessing its accurate. But what is great is how easy it is to use. Just slide it over the end of a cut log and you can very quickly see the moisture distribution. If there is still a we spot at the center for instance, it shows up right away. Those I put next to the stove to dry for a day or two before I use them. This is really the best answer IMO for my use case. A probe meter may be more accurate, but I need quick reading across the wood. Probe meters dont do that. This does. Ive dropped it a few times, still ticking. Highly recommended. Would buy again.
