If using jack you will never find your cable. The tone produced is quiet and continuous but can only be heard when you’re within 2 inches of the pack making the tone.

Cant believe I traced the hard way for so long, its another tool I wish I had purchased long ago.

Does what its supposed to do with both the RJ-11 and ABN clips, but the tracer wand isnt that sensitive. Definitely remember to turn the volume up. Plus, I prefer the alternating tone from my old Harris.

Mine will not send a tone on the connector but tone is sent through the gator clips. Not sure why but I’m stuck using it until I purchase something else.

Its a good quality product, feels solid. My only complaint is this would be so much better if it could work with an active network instead of only inactive wiring
