Klein Tools VDV500-820 Cable Tracer with Probe Tone Pro Kit for Telephone, Internet, Video, Data and Communications Cables

Cant pick up the tone at 50 ft.

Had an open circuit that I could not locate. This tool helped me find it right away.

I am not remotely an electrician and was able to trace out wiring in an old farm house with no problem. I did find a useful video on youtube that allowed me to use this tracer more competently.

LOVE IT! Traced 22 unknown wires from my alarm panel to various windows and doors in under 1 hour. Super easy to use and set up.

I had to figure out my sprinkler system wiring and this tool made it very simple. Very user friendly and time saver. I absolutely recommend it.

You have to get it just right to get a reading. And when it did work, it worked on 4 breakers. Ended up having to shut each breaker off and then see if I got the one I wanted.

This works well. I was able to trace the wire I was looking for through the wall. 1/2 drywall
