I built a new construction home and our sheetrocker covered boxes. Turn off the power and hook this up and boom i was able to pin point exact spot of where the wires were in the box. My walls are deep 2x6 so I wasn’t sure if it would work. But it worked well.

This toner is a huge help identifying wire locations. Much better than some others Ive used.

It did not generate any discernible tone when trying to trace a CAD 5 wire within a bundle of CAD 5 wires. Really disappointing. I will return and hope to get a refund.

Super easy to use ( even for this novice). Locates wires quickly with a loud sound once located. Folds away nicely as well. We used it to locate speaker wires in a new construction home.

Great tool for tracing wire through an old home.

The toner auto shuts off in short order. You could be tracing with the toner off. The probe turns on and is always on low, meaning you must turn up the volume every time its turned on. Fluke is better by far.
