I bought this tool for a electrical issues, I know it’s designed for data but I can told you it works great for electrical problems too, you just need to make sure that wires are not hot when using the tool.

LOVE IT! Traced 22 unknown wires from my alarm panel to various windows and doors in under 1 hour. Super easy to use and set up.

Worked for couple days then stopped

Work where other cheaper product didnt. Was able to trace wires in walls with multiple adjacent wires. Cost more than I wanted, but saved money in the long run. Better than paying big bucks for an Electrican.

Got to love a tool that will help fix what a supposed electrician couldnt do properly.

If using jack you will never find your cable. The tone produced is quiet and continuous but can only be heard when you’re within 2 inches of the pack making the tone.

EASY-TO-USE.

I originally bought this to trace a short in a wiring harness. That project still hasnt gotten off the ground (the short is intermittent and has decided to go away for a while) so this tracer has been in my toolbox for months.
