> 3 dayI like how the tone generator gives you different tone options. Im not crazy about all of the static and extra noise you get out of the wand. Luckily my old wand still works fine, so I just use that. More accurate and easier to hear than the one that comes with this set.

Greater than one weekI was in the worlds worst hunt trying to figure out where some network rack ethernet cabling routed through a building. Tried the two wire RJ45 plug that is on the unit and could barely hear a peep. Decided to make an adapter and twisted together all 8 wires to a ring terminal and fashioned the key to success! It worked so well I was able to pinpoint approximately 200ft away where it ran through both metal sided walls and sheetrock walls. Life saver! I just wish they had included a full 8 wire RJ45.

> 3 dayThe toner auto shuts off in short order. You could be tracing with the toner off. The probe turns on and is always on low, meaning you must turn up the volume every time its turned on. Fluke is better by far.

> 3 dayI originally bought this to trace a short in a wiring harness. That project still hasnt gotten off the ground (the short is intermittent and has decided to go away for a while) so this tracer has been in my toolbox for months.

> 3 dayWe bought this at my workplace and have found it mostly useless. Ive always had great luck with Klein, but this tool is definitely not worth the money. Even on a short test cable, you can just barely hear the tone coming from the wand. Used it a few days ago trying to locate a cable in a closet and never could determine where the cable was due to this unit simply not putting out a strong tone. I would definitely not recommend purchasing this unit.
