> 24 hourThis part was recommended by Amazon when I purchased my faucet. This part belongs in a bathroom shower. I never used it and was not able to return it because Amazon wouldnt take it back.

> 24 hourPerfect replacement for a valve that was getting stiff to operate due to hard water. OEM product in Kohler packaging..... at 1/3 the cost of the big box store. Took all of 5 minutes to replace. Its like a have a new faucet!

> 24 hourIve ordered this twice, once from D P L and once from Amazon.com. I installed the cartridge received from D P L, and it is working just fine. However, D P L appears to be providing an aftermarket product rather than a Kohler Genuine Part. The cartridge received from D P L was packaged in a plain plastic bag, without label or instructions. Receipt was very quick via First Class Mail, and I needed that quick service for my leaking faucet. No spline was included with the cartridge and an 11/16-inch socket (possibly a deep socket, depending on your faucet) is required to install or remove the cartridge. The cartridge received from from Amazon.com was in packaging clearly labeled Kohler Genuine Parts and included instructions for installation. A new spline was included and a 5/8-inch socket (possibly a deep socket) is required to install or remove the Kohler cartridge. Im currently satisfied with either product, and may not know for years whether one or the other provides better service. D P L offers the best price if you dont need a replacement spline. Instructions for installing new valves (i.e. cartridges) in a two-handle Kohler faucet are available on the Kohler web site.

> 24 hourUnfortunately, my location has some pretty hard water, so Ive had to replace these valves about once every 8-15 years or so. But this replacement valved fixed our stuck bathroom faucet valve just fine. The hard part is getting the cartridge out of the valve body. My setup is for a widespread faucet, in which the valves (the discontinued Kohler Taboret style) are each mounted separately into the countertop. Turning the 5/8 nut on top with a long socket head only results in loosening and spinning the whole valve body in the countertop. The solution was to disconnect the valve body completely from the water supply, removing it from the countertop and mounting it in the biggest vice I own. With a little careful effort the cartridge could then be unscrewed. While you have everthing apart, grab the vinegar and take the time to clean all the nasty lime deposits off.

> 24 hourThis part did not specify whether it was for hot or cold so now my faucet goes in the wrong direction. Otherwise is works fine.
