> 3 dayThese are no fun to change if they are stuck together. They fit the faucet and work fine . I had to completely remove the faucet / mount in a soft jawed vice /penetrating oil/ propane torch. Get the picture . If yours dont come apart easily , you may save time and frustration by purchasing a new faucet.

> 3 dayBest to replace with the original part to stop the leaks for many years. I needed both the cold & hot valves.

> 3 dayWorks perfectly in our shower valves. Just remember that Kohler has different valves with unique part numbers for right and left.

> 3 dayPlease Note: COLD is the right hand side Part number KOHLER GP77006 RP-Cold. $12.65 HOT is the left hand side. Part number KOHLER GP77005 RP-Hot. $6.34 The picture on AMAZON Prime shows Chrome finish is only the shine glare the parts are Brass. I used this two hot & cold to replace KOHLER 2 Faucet Wall Mount Roman Jacuzzi Tub from 1998 era. The new KOHLER brass valves does NOT have the Red plastic nor the blue plastic to indicate hot & cold. So the part numbers are the indicators of hot & cold. Please note that the cold brass valve has a plumbers blue dye on the top, but since it is on brass it shows as Red, dont let that confuses you that is the Hot valve. I have measured twice & cut it right once. Thank you AMAZON PRIME & KOHLERS Genuine Parts. This job was bid by licensed plumber $250. labor & service call + $50. in KOHLER GP parts, almost $300.00 I got the parts from Amazon, did it myself totaling $20.46 Thank you AMAZON PRIME

> 3 dayGreat quality. Fixed the leak. Note, if you are the original owner of the faucet, these cartridges are probably covered under Kohler warranty. I realized this too late.

> 3 dayThis was to replace the cold water valve for Kohler faucet K454-4S-CP. It was a perfect match AND included the black spline to be used at the top for attaching the stem extender (87466). My faucet was crusted over badly, and it took some PB Blaster penetrant and time to loosen the gunk. I was too feeble to remove it with a ratchet wrench and needed a stronger person. Thankfully, the old valve was removed. If youre not able to remove the valve cartridge, youll have to buy a different models valve and casing assembly (Ultraglide). Hopefully, youll be as lucky as me and can preserve the old parts. I could not remove the old stem extender for two handles, and another handle had an ill-fitting stem extender. So, i bought new stem extenders to go with the new valves. If you mistakenly bought the wrong sides valve, you can modify it by removing the clip and changing the orientation. Good luck with fixing your leaky faucet.

10-06-2025The new valve turns so freely compared to the old. My old one was jamming as the ceramic core was not staying in place. The new on has a nice firm rubber seal. You may want to double check the cam on the top matches the one you are removing. You should be able to turn it around if needed... or just leave it and the knob will turn the other way. If you are taking off both knobs a photo before you do it will help with re-alignment to what they were. Turn off the water. Spin the old one out. Check the seat is not damaged in the valve put the new on in.
