Please Note: COLD is the right hand side Part number KOHLER GP77006 RP-Cold. $12.65 HOT is the left hand side. Part number KOHLER GP77005 RP-Hot. $6.34 The picture on AMAZON Prime shows Chrome finish is only the shine glare the parts are Brass. I used this two hot & cold to replace KOHLER 2 Faucet Wall Mount Roman Jacuzzi Tub from 1998 era. The new KOHLER brass valves does NOT have the Red plastic nor the blue plastic to indicate hot & cold. So the part numbers are the indicators of hot & cold. Please note that the cold brass valve has a plumbers blue dye on the top, but since it is on brass it shows as Red, dont let that confuses you that is the Hot valve. Works perfectly in our shower valves. Just remember that Kohler has different valves with unique part numbers for right and left.

Works great. If you have trouble getting the handle off the faucet valve then wrap around 2 feet of duct tape the chrome handle base and use a channel lock pliers to twist them off. This works on my Koehler faucet.

Fixed my sink exact piece I needed

My faucet developed a leak around the handle. After some research I found the Kohler parts # and Kohler supplier DPL on Amazon and bought this item. It has been three months since I installed the valve. So far it functions well, no more leaks around handle, and the handle feels smooth too. However, I can only give it three stars because of the following: 1) The water flow is reduced after installing this valve. This is due to the fact that the two window openings on the valve body are smaller than that on the original one. 2) The size of the hex nut also changed. I used a deep socket (5/8?) to take out the old one without difficulty; however, the same socket cannot be used to install the new one because the hex nut is larger. I had major trouble to find the right tool to do it. I finally used a standard-depth socket, which barely grabbed the hex nut, to install it. 3) Most importantly, I was fooled into thinking that I was buying a genuine Kohler part. I only found out today that it was not. I got the part from Kohler, which is exactly same as my old part, but different from this one. I also spoke with Kohler representative; and I was told that they have not changed the design of this valve since 1998.
