Pros + This is the first monitor in nearly a decade that did not come with a single dead pixel on my first attempt. + Minimal backlight bleed and minimal IPS glow (again super surprised I lucked out with this panel on my first try.. Must be some good quality control with LG on this product. + 10Bit color looks amazing, the colors pop + 144hz w/ gsync is super smooth, even more so than my acer x34 w/ native gsync module. Also no flickering w/ gsync enabled. + HDR10 - Dont underestimate it, the panel is bright enough that it actually really looks good in certain games like Mass Effect Legendary Edition, and No Mans Sky. While some games look superior in SDR. Try it out for yourself I was pleasantly surprised. Also disable HDR in windows when not using it in gaming as it washes out the colors of desktop. + The OSD menu is the best menu ive ever used on a monitor. I was effortlessly able to navigate through the whole menu on the first attempt without any training or practice. + Price is decent for what you get, my acer x34 cost 1200 at launch and I paid 799 for this. + Zero ghosting, fast response time, no noticeable input lag + Ultrawide (once you go 21:9 you dont go back) Slim bezels. Also 98% Of my games do support ultrawide resolution. If people tell you otherwise they dont own a ultrawide monitor. + Best resolution IMO, not too hard to run as 4k, while still giving quality image. Can run most of my games at around max refresh rate. But i do have a beefy rig 3080 + 5800X. Cons - While the stand is nice and a bit smaller than the acer x34 stand, its still a large stand and takes up a ton of real-estate on your desk. (easily fixable with an affordable desk monitor arm, which I already had) - One year warranty? isnt nearly long enough for a monitor of this price. - No built-in speakers. This isnt a deal breaker but it was nice to keep the desk looking clutter-free, I bought some new speakers though that give superior sound in every single way, so good trade off. 10/10 Rating, best monitor I have ever owned. Great Quality control (or maybe I just got luck). Hopefully I get a long life out of this monitor like I did my acer x34.

Probably one of the best monitors you can buy if you want curved ultrawide. On the pricey side but you get what you pay for, most of the ~$400-$500 ultrawides have some cons: bad viewing angles, blurry text on the sides, not curved, VA panel, slow pixel response, issues with sleep, etc. This monitor doesnt have any of those issues and works flawlessly for me. Pros: IPS display Excellent input lag Excellent pixel response times(Im not very sensitive to this so make sure it meets your needs) Works perfectly with Nvidia cards using Gsync Text is crisp and clear across the whole panel No brightness/color shifts from normal viewing angles Sleeps properly with Windows(had a lot of trouble with this on other monitors and my tv) Curved ultrawide, super immersive for gaming Colors look great and has very good contrast IMO The one physical button control works really well and is super easy to use Gets more than bright enough for my use(I do 40% during a bright day, 20% in the evening, and 5% in the dark) Cons: The panel is a bit reflective, luckily I have it in a position where I dont have to deal with it. But if there is direct sunlight hitting it, you may have some issues(though I think it can get bright enough to overcome this) The panel sits pretty forward on the stand, so unless you have a deep desk, you will be pretty close to it(great for games with super wide FOV though) No built in speakers(though I imagine most people spending this much have proper speakers so a moot point) The part of the power cable going from the brick to the monitor is a bit short, if your desk is high enough you will either have a hanging power brick or need to place it on the desk or something.

Replaced a 27 inch dell 1440p 144hz monitor as my main monitor. This is definitely a huge upgrade. HDR. higher refresh rate. excellent picture quality. I only have two negative things to say about this monitor. One is the sound quality from the speakers. These sound like how cell phones used to sound about 10 years ago. Relatively tingy and no bass at all. The second thing is the stand. I only seen a few complaints about the stand but if you have a relatively narrow disk like me, this stand will 100% intrude on your keyboard and mouse space. Not a huge deal once you readjust where you use your mouse and keyboard but it is an annoyance.

Im mostly writing this to inform other Linux users who use Nvidia GPUs my experience with the UltraGear, and not hey look at me Im a Linux user. The Distro I use is KDE-Neon, RTX 2060 Super, version 470 drivers. For me, Gsync works out of the box. You will need to turn off your Compositor for Gsync to activate. I have not tested Freesync but I assume it would work since thats up to the monitor. I was dreading the first time I turned the monitor, since I had read other reviews here talk about dead pixels, which happens on all monitors, and unfortunately when I turned it on I found 3 spots that had 4 or 5 dead pixels. Fortunately, I quickly fixed them and theyve stayed on since. If you find dead pixels on your monitor, there is a trick you can do by lightly massaging, in a circular motion, the area of the dead pixel with the tip of your finger or thumb. Youll want your monitor on while doing this and the easiest way to see the dead pixels is to full screen a very bright, white image. Back-light bleed is an unfortunate downside of IPS screens, and my screen does have some, but its extremely minimal and only in the corners, and the amount of bleed is very even on each corner which was very nice. Ive read some reviews where people have showed their distaste with a Vignetting effect along the top of the screen. I personally have noticed absolutely no vignetting on my screen. The stand is very slim, but does take up a large footprint, and if your desk is cramped or shallow, you may have to make space or may find that its just too close to your face to be comfortable. My 20 deep desk just isnt enough space for a comfortable viewing distance. If your desk also has a built on shelf above where the monitor sits, you will want to measure the space so youre not surprised when it doesnt fit into it. The supplied DisplayPort Cable is plenty adequate for 3440x1440 at 160hz. Mine did not come with a Type A to Type B USB cable to use the USB pass-through ports on the monitor. I believe my box may have been opened before since one of the hand holes for the styrofoam was broken, and the USB cable may have been taken. Brightness is substantial, Ive never seen another monitor this bright before. But thats coming from someone who has been using 2 ASUS PB278Qs for the past 10 years. Since my screen has very minimal back-light bleed, the blacks are very dark, even for an IPS. The menu navigation is very straightforward and responsive. 8 different modes. The fake HDR mode is a gimmick, but does have very high contrast. The 160hz overclock setting works as intended. Gamer 1 is the setting I use at all times. There is a quick select outside of the menu to change modes.

The monitor itself is light for the size in my opinion. I did a desk mount VESA arm and freed the mess of wires under and around the stand. It makes for a cleaner desk and easier access to my 4K HDMI KVM switch. Some issues with resolution settings and mouse control switch between my Crosshair VIII DARK HERO and the other systems. I need to switch the monitor to the display port in order to run full resolution from the DARK HERO and back to HDMI for the other systems in order to keep keyboard and mouse control. Thats not a show stopper though and I halfway expected it. Some minor shadowing near the frame but no bad pixels and great image quality out of the box. I recommend this product.

Perfect curved gaming monitor. Good price for the resolution and quality. The movable stand is so convenient. I hook up my ps5 Nintendo switch and Alienware and play tons of games and have to say the graphics are awesome.

This was an upgrade to my Viotek GNV34DBE ultrawide monitor. The performance to this monitor is very similar to the slightly more expensive 34GN850-B. One thing is that you do not get a USB uplink cable in the box; just the Displayport and power adapter. My monitor has one stuck pixel on the upper left which I cannot RMA because LG is stingy with how many stuck/dead pixels must be on the display to warrant a RMA. Picture quality is pretty good as it is an IPS. But because it is an IPS, especially a Nano IPS, it lacks contrast VA panels typically have. Its noticeable in dark environments such as night time, but I dont notice it that much during the day and I can live with it as I expect IPS displays to not have great contrast. The brightness this monitor can display is good enough for the most part, except in direct sunlight (but your mileage may vary). One thing for sure is the lack of black level smearing and inverse ghosting, which means more clear picture when in motion while playing video games. The 160 HZ option is nice to have, but not that amazing if youre coming from a 144 Hz montior. The inputs are ok, 2 HDMI 2.0 and 1 Displayport 1.4 (not 1.2 as I have found some people have said). Stick to Displayport please, as it is the only input that can support 144 hz and 160 hz. I have mounted this monitor with a monitor arm, so I got nothing to say about the stand. At the end of the day, this monitor is very good and is will be good enough until mid range GPUs can support 3440 x 1440 160 hz at max details, or until the warranty runs out and the monitor spontaneously dies.

I have now owned both Samsung and LG and I will be honest. Samsung beats LG in the display quality but LG beats Samsung everywhere else. The display quality is not enough to prefer the Samsung over the LG when it comes to other features...This monitor is significantly easier to manager when mounting on a wall or placing on a desk. The LGs OSD is great as well. Navigating is a breeze and unlike the Samsung the LG will switch between active displays without input....I still cannot believe Samsung has this problem...Which was the primary reason I switched to the LG. Working from home and wanting to switch to gaming is a breeze.

TLDR: Love it IQ is amazing (Coming from an Acer Predator which some would argue has one of the better IPS panels available) hoping 21:9 becomes more widely accepted in games. I came form 2 27 monitors and def. prefer this. Wish USB Hub was on the side NOT the back but otherwise very happy with this purchase. Also wish this has at least a built in speaker but thats just a nitpick at this point. If you are looking at this monitor as a potential purchase, just do it and if you are on the fence about curved monitors hop off the fence and join in, I think it actually adds to immersion plus can save some space. Coming from a 27 Acer Predator XB271HU IPS monitor I was worried because I always thought the predator had one of the best looking IPS panels Ive seen and this is my first curved monitor. Image: For Gaming: Awesome Image Quality and color representation and contrast however be prepared for a lot of games not FULLY supporting 21:9. Most game menus and or cinematics will play with black boxes on the sides but this hopefully will change as this aspect ratio becomes more prevalent. Lastly even without overclocking this screen I have no ghosting. For Movies/Video: Again same issue as most content providers like Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. dont natively support 21:9 so you will have some black bars however you can use some browser addons such as Ultrawidify which will stretch the image to fit without cropping and to me it does not look bad.. HDR: Meh Windows HDR sucks, some games suppport it but most of the time with a few exceptions its not worth it and looks better without it turned on Build: I love the look and build quality looks solid but I gotta say the stand it comes with kinda sucks I thought the predator stand was much nicer. Up/Down Tilt Down (A little) Tilt Up (A Lot) it seems to tilt up a LOT further than it will tilt down which kind of sucks because it is sitting on a table higher than my but no biggie. Lastly and most importantly the USB hub on this doesnt seem very well thought out at least to me. I preferred my predator where it had the USB hub inputs on the left side. This monitor they are located on the back right by the video inputs and its much more of a hassle to quickly plug in/out something.
