If youre purchasing to cover an existing painting, you may have to apply multiple coats. Once covered though, its like having a brand new canvas.

The Clear Gesso is perfect for creating a tooth for pastels. This can be applied to cardboard for practicing pastels. Why waste money on fancy paper when anything can become a surface with a tooth for drawing with pastels. I have used it on cut up cereal boxes, plain boxes that Amazon ships their products in (great way to recycle!), but mostely now, I use it on sheets of watercolor paper. It feels like a fine grit sandpaper, which is what I like. If you have not tried this yet, I highly recommend that you do. I hope this tip helps to save a little money!! Take care and be well!!

This is probably the best clear gesso on the market, and the price reflects it... Still cheaper than the local stores, I feel bad for not keeping it local, but for bulk items like this, I dont mind...

I use this product frequently and it is necessary for my painting style. The gesso is great but this time it arrive with the cap broken. I have a nearly empty bottle that I will use up and replace the broken cap. Just a real nuciance that’s why only 3 stars.

Diluted. Reg white paint should work as well
