I purchased this after going against the 1 star reviews as I have used a huge verity of Z-wave devices with my Alarm.com Z-wave module and like to try out whatever is available on the market. I cant say this enough : Read the instructions! SO many bad reviews from people who just did not read how to use this device. Unlike many other z-wave outlets, there is actually a slightly different method to setup. Rather than just a button push during enrolling, there is a button long press to get into learn mode on the device. Once in learn mode, I strongly recommend putting your hub/bridge/gateway/z-wave receiver into DELETE mode and letting it run through the cycle (this is recommended for ALL z-wave devices during initial setup). This sets the device back to factory and removes any potential binding information from when it was tested at the factory. THEN repeat the process and go into LEARN mode for your z-wave receiver. After adding this device from about 10 feet away, I left it about 60 seconds, manually switched the on-board switch on and off a couple of times and then relocated it to its final position around 20 feet away outside. I have it controlling string lights and a bug zapper. It works just as quickly as any of my GE/Jasco/Linear/Aeotec Z-wave devices and is a decent price. I have ordered more as I have not had any issues with this device and the price is right.

Easy to setup and connect. I have multiple Alexa’s and built in smart hubs through my ring and Eero systems. Allows outdoor automation of lights outside from both my Alexa’s and phone. No more getting out of bed to shut my lights off when my family forgot.

Used outdoors to power spots and lights on my deck, patio and pavilion. The switch works as advertised. No issues. The low profile, 45 degree plug fits outdoor plastic fixtures perfectly.

Works well with Alexa and Smarttthing hub. Using 2 of these to control garden fountains.

Bought this a month ago, plugged it in, set SmartThings to discovery mode, waited for a few seconds for pairing, configured the on/off times, and it has been working flawlessly since then.

Product works, it was included into my Hubitat Z Wave network easily. However the plug design in not as advertised, it does not have a 45 degree flat plug. It has a standard straight plug. I will keep it, but the 45 degree plug would have made placement much easier. I have attached photos for your reference.

I liked them because they were ZWave and then, they were the only few I can easily add to SmartThings. Outside Christmas lights season they sit in the box unused. Two out of three died just before Christmas 2021. I am not sure what the warranty is. This is bad for outdoor plugs that are not used often! I went to check their support time in my order details. Surprise, too late to complain: Return window closed on Jan 20, 2021 Product support window closed on Jun 19, 2021 bought these in December 19th 2019. They have been in use less than a total of 60 days! One is still working but 66% failure rate is terrible!

Good performance. No problems

The manual on/off button works just fine, and thats where its consistency ends. The manual (available on their website) clearly says how to pair and reset the outlet, except its wrong. (Click the button 3x quickly to pair, click 2x then hold on the third press until it turns off to reset it) Once paired, I could only get the outlet to turn on or off via the SmartThings app maybe 10% of the time. The app has connectivity because it shows if the light turns on or off if I use the outlets button, but then Ill unplug it and it still thinks its connected. Returning, probably replacing with GEs Z-wave+ model
