PITA to get SmartThings to recognize. Had to do custom install. Unreliable in SmartThings app unless you open the device control page. So, once added, & w workarounds, seems to do what I tell it. Have NOT tried using timer functions in SmartThings app. Turn it on/off via app on demand, not automated.

I purchased this after going against the 1 star reviews as I have used a huge verity of Z-wave devices with my Alarm.com Z-wave module and like to try out whatever is available on the market. I cant say this enough : Read the instructions! SO many bad reviews from people who just did not read how to use this device. Unlike many other z-wave outlets, there is actually a slightly different method to setup. Rather than just a button push during enrolling, there is a button long press to get into learn mode on the device. Once in learn mode, I strongly recommend putting your hub/bridge/gateway/z-wave receiver into DELETE mode and letting it run through the cycle (this is recommended for ALL z-wave devices during initial setup). This sets the device back to factory and removes any potential binding information from when it was tested at the factory. THEN repeat the process and go into LEARN mode for your z-wave receiver. After adding this device from about 10 feet away, I left it about 60 seconds, manually switched the on-board switch on and off a couple of times and then relocated it to its final position around 20 feet away outside. I have it controlling string lights and a bug zapper. It works just as quickly as any of my GE/Jasco/Linear/Aeotec Z-wave devices and is a decent price. I have ordered more as I have not had any issues with this device and the price is right.

Paired easily with my SmartThings hub, and it goes on and off flawlessly as directed by the routines I have set up. Very happy!

Using it for some outdoor low voltage lighting. Working great. Setup was easy with Hubitat.

Used insteon version for years. It was never very reliable. This Zwave unit has never missed a command, which is really all i wanted

I am using this smart plug to control my patio lights through Amazon Alexa. Very easy to connect to my SmartThings Hub using the SmartThings App on my phone and pressing the button on the smart plug 3 times. Alexa discovered the new device immediately. It is about 30 feet from the hub and about 15 feet from another Z-wave switch. Like the flat angled plug as it does not block the other outlet where it is plugged in. Easy setup, weatherproof, good value, and works as expected.

This product was easy to install and integrated perfectly with Smartthings (which I will not recommend) and Alexa. We used this to smart control our outdoor Christmas lights.

Product from manufacture is not the same as product shown on box and in listing. It does NOT have the 45 degree plug or the 90 degree angle for the wall for strain relief. It is simply a straight plug, nothing special. (See Attached Photos) The box the product came in shows the angle plug features but the included item although the make, model all match the box the product itself does not match. The product itself works GREAT and I will consider buying more but the seller should open a few of these boxes first and then update their listing (This is fault of the manufacture not the seller) but regardless they should update the listing. I wanted the 90 degree angle plug and this was one of the reasons I was excited about the product but it isnt a deal breaker for me so only slightly disappointed but want to make it clear for others what to expect.
