> 3 dayMy Abode security system that has a built in ZWave gateway and so far this outdoor plug works well with it responding quickly and reporting its status but Ive had recurring issues with the connection being temporarily lost and regained during heavy rain and snow. I suspected a weak signal and placed an indoor Zwave plug to act as a repeater on an outlet midway between the outdoor plug and the gateway in a room sharing the exterior wall that the outdoor plug is on and it still occasionally has issues when it gets coated with water. The switch is not shorting out and the power stays on, it just loses the connection and reconnects after a short time.

> 3 dayI have bought 2 of these MP22Z Z-Wave Outdoor Smart Plugs. I set up one of them and after it was added to Smartthings following the instructions the actual device page showed two question marks and a message which says “Couldnt get device status” see screen shots. I emailed the company and they were responsive. They were not very helpful, and after 6 emails over 2 hours I have given up and I am returning the two MP22Z Z-Wave Outdoor Smart Plugs. I do not recommend these for Smartthings use.

> 3 dayI have this plugged into the outlet at the side of my garage to control the landscape lighting. I got it configured with Smartthings easily enough but every week or so it has gone offline to where I cant control it in the app and so I have to go out and try to re-add it again. Hopefully these are initial teething problems that stop occurring.

Greater than one weekI liked them because they were ZWave and then, they were the only few I can easily add to SmartThings. Outside Christmas lights season they sit in the box unused. Two out of three died just before Christmas 2021. I am not sure what the warranty is. This is bad for outdoor plugs that are not used often! I went to check their support time in my order details. Surprise, too late to complain: Return window closed on Jan 20, 2021 Product support window closed on Jun 19, 2021 bought these in December 19th 2019. They have been in use less than a total of 60 days! One is still working but 66% failure rate is terrible!

> 3 dayI was very happy this plug just worked. No smartthings firmware BS, I just plugged it in and searched Minoston in smartthings. Very Nice!

> 3 daySo easy to set up a smart home features using the Zwave system. Everything is tied into our alarm app for access to every light and outlet from one app only. Best thing is, if alarm is tripped for any reason, all lights within the Zwave system will turn on for added security.

> 3 dayI had a fairly easy time setting this up in SmartThings using the QR code provided with the unit. In SmartThings, I can see it as an outlet, and I can see the cumulative electricity used. In Google Home, I can only see it as an outlet that I can turn off or on. I dont see where the company that manufactures the unit has any app with additional features or information. So I think its just the information you get though whichever Z-wave home hub you use. But its staying connected and doing what I want it to do (which is tell me how much power my outdoor plug-in hybrid car outlet is using so I know my cost per mile).

> 3 dayI replaced a GE outdoor switch with this so I could get dimming of my resistive string lights. The GE never had a reception problem, but this dimmer does. I have 20 devices in my zwave network, so the mesh is pretty strong. The dimmer is just outside my patio door. Nearest other device is two rooms away. I expect it to work well but it loses connection. I will put another zwave device closer to it, but this is disappointing and worse than my other devices.

> 3 dayWorks well with Alexa and Smarttthing hub. Using 2 of these to control garden fountains.
