Removing the old cylinder was a bear, but this replacement fit perfectly.

Made my old faucet like new again. Great replacement part.

The product does not include the installation instructions, and is not in the original Moen packaging. There are several on-line DIY videos on removing the old cartridge and installing the new one. Other than that, the product is correct, and it was shipped VERY fast.

This brass cartridge is superior to the plastic ones I found at Lowes & Home Depot. It has 4 O rings instead of only 2.

The item fit and was the same size. The item was not the same as original equipment. It had much less rubber and designed differently. Poorly made. The handle was loose and felt cheap and moved all over loosely after the install. I double checked the model of the faucet and replacement part numbers. It still leaked just in a different position than before. Since it had been installed I did not return. Just wasted $25.00. I pitched it. Bought a new faucet. I do not recommend buying this part.

Product is working fine only time will tell if it will last as long as the original that failed/leak after 29 yrs. Moen is replacing the old ones under warranty as Im the original homeowner, however they are sending the plastic version 1225B. Rather have brass should last much longer than plastic one. At least Ill have a spare for backup. Watched YouTube videos on how to and sprayed cartridge with PB Blaster prior to using the tool to twist it right n left till it broke loose and then slowly removed it. Greased the inside of the water pipe and the O-rings on the new cartridge with danco waterproof grease.

Works and installs as expected. Worth watching a online video or two before installation just to make sure you do it right.
