They were a gift for my 7 year old and 5 year old granddaughters-- each received a box. We bought the paper too. They amazed us with some stunning art work. They were happy to use something so different from crayons and pens.

I bought these to replace some Pentel oil pastels that I wasnt satisfied with. The Pentel oil pastels were too hard and just didnt work right. These pastels are pretty much perfect in every way: the blending, smoothness, and pigmentation are all spot on. These are the best soft oil pastels in the price range by far.

Im new into this style of art but the bang for your buck is amazing!! I cant speak on it regarding high level artist, but this is my second order of this particular brand!

These are absolutely fantastic. Creamy and blendable and a joy to use. I prefer these as an under layer to my oil pastel paintings with Sennelier as the final texture detail, however the image included is done solely with Mungyo so you can see how much texture you can build using only these.

They do not blend well. Leaves lumps of color.

Too hard! Even my room temperature is 74F

These pastels are great for people who are experienced and even for those who are inexperienced. They blend pretty well, they’re compatible with paint thinner for blending as well. They’re not the creamiest pastels out there but they’re definitely smooth

Im super picky. Im not a fan of oil pastels that crumble, so it took me a while to read reviews before I purchased. Finally settled on these and I couldnt be happier.

Im a novice so take this for what its worth, but these seem like a great value for a starter kit.
