Mungyo Gallery Soft Oil Pastels Set of 48 - Assorted Colors

These oil pastels are my favorite! I love the colors and the smoothness of the pastels!!

Not sure if I got a bad batch of Sakura, but it was so bad--cant lay down a smooth area of color, cant put color on top, doesnt blend...it was horrible! On the contrast, this Gallery set is buttery, blends nicely and just so easy to work with. Please go with this brand if you are deciding and save yourself some troubles.

I have been watching YouTube videos about this oil pastel set and wanted to give it a go. I found the sticks very vibrant, creamy, and easy to apply. Due to the softness of the sticks, I find they get used up fairly quickly. Ive just used them on one project and am still learning how to work with oil pastels in general, so not sure how much advice I can offer at this stage. If youre looking for a creamy, colorful set of oil pastels, give them a try- you cant beat the price or quality.

I have bought 4 brands of oil pastels in the past month and a half, and by far these Mungyo oil pastels are the best. Goes on smoothly with easy blendability, vibrant colors. I have not tried the most expensive brand yet but I dont see how they can be better,, but I will see. So far happy very happy.

This is my 4th purchase on Mungyo brand. Good quality for beginners.

These are soft, and they do blend well, though not as much as I had hoped. They also are not very vibrant. They have bland colors.

My pre-teen son also liked pastels in art kits that he got when he was younger. Those pastels were definitely of lower quality, and he had a hard time imitating pastel techniques that he saw in videos -- just wouldnt work. So I ordered these and now he can successfully do the techniques. He treasures these!
