> 3 dayDid not work. Would not connect to my airbag. Called Neat several times and they said the device was broken. I would not recommend this product. My boyfriend has the larger model and it works but he has run into many problems with the eat software. Save your money. I would also not recommend this seller - He made me jump through hoops to get my money back and I had to open a case through Amazon before he responded.

> 3 dayI was very skeptical when I got this and bought it through Amazon so I could return it if it didnt work, but in fact it is pretty amazing. I travel a lot and I bring it everywhere, its small, light, and (to me) incredibly fast. The software works surprisingly well. It can handle other languages pretty well so long as they are in Latin script (otherwise forget it), but even if the data extraction goes awry its easy to type everything in. Really. I just LOVE this thing. When I got mine Amazon accidentally sent me the wrong model, but NeatWorks sent me a link for the software even before Amazon re-sent me the right product, so my experience with the company was also really good. I seriously tell loads of people about this thing and recommend it constantly. Oh AND--its super easy to export everything into pdfs. Takes seconds, works great--so I can send things to people easily, and it even combines a bunch of scans into one pdf if you ask it to. And I am NOT a computer person and I found it simple to use, its very intuitive to figure out. You want one. For real.

> 3 dayIMPORTANT WARNING: Ordered this scanner and travel case for a project & trip but the software product key was non-functioning on arrival and as a result, could not load software or use the scanner. Neat offers no telephone support so I diligently read through the online knowledge base and than submitted my support question/ask for help to Neat via their support website. Next day, no response so I sent another email and submission request. Third day, no response - so sent another email/submission request. Fast forward -- a full week later, and I still have not received a single response (either email or call) at all to my more than seven inquiries. Unfathomable & shocking. Judging by other reviews, its clear my experience is sadly, not unique. Neats tech support and customer service is simply non-existent and its clear that NEAT doesnt care about its customers or support reputation. A truly horrible experience. I urge you to avoid this type of pain -- DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS!

> 3 dayThis is a useful tool to stay organised. It does not always recognise the totals and other fields automatically so a lot of manual editing is required. Different receipt formats stump Neat.The soft ware should allow the user to recognise the different types of receipts. The promise of excel lists is not quite as advertised. This should be automatic. The software should also be more international , currently its set up for American tax only and oct is not multi lingual. You can however change and add new fields so with a bit of work it will be useful. Overall once you have adapted the software it will be useful and just to get my receipts saved and logged is worth it. Completely automatic it is not. May be in the future Neat will update the software to allow the user to teach the software to recognise and remember different receipt formats. May also in the future it would be good to be able to switch with between excel and neat files at the click of a button.( just a suggestion)

> 3 dayI bought this small scanner to be able to travel with me to many locations throughout the day. I like the portability of it but I was disappointed when I could not find any tech support when my documents were only scanning blank pages. After some frustration, I tried to calibrate the scanner and that seemed to work, but I was a bit confused why I had to calibrate an item right out of the box. The other issue Im having is I dont know how to scan several pages into 1 pdf or email? I usually have at least 1-5 pages to scan back to the office and its time consuming and non productive to send 5 different emails to get the job done. Since there is no tech support, Im assuming I wont get the answer? It would have been helpful if it came with a booklet to walk you thru several issues. If anyone knows the answer to my question please share it with me

> 3 dayPaper paper everywhere but not any more.Since a have had a neat scanner i do not have a draweer full of receipts.IRS accepts this form of documentation.Every year at tax time all i do is push a button.At my delight all is there to view.Why do it any other way

Greater than one weekIts very helpful to have the neat desk but when i am doing files over 10 pages i run into problems. I have to wait for a few hours before the scanner will be able to work again. this is not as convent as i would like

Greater than one weekI would give it 5 stars but i think they still can improve speed a little bit ... putting receipts is tricky at the beginning but youll get the hang of it quickly. Reports are amazing, presentation is top-notch ... i carry the scanner everywhere ... this is a very nice tool for those of us who cant easily get organized.

> 3 dayThis scanner has made submitting receipts and expense reports much easier. I work for an overseas company, and am required to turn in monthly receipts. I was always putting it off, because it was such a chore to find the receipts, put them chronological in order, and then tape them to paper. On top of that I was creating expense reports in word documents- it was just a big hassle. With Neat Receipts I simply scan whatever receipts I have whenever I think about it- and the program that comes with the scanner saves them in an inbox. When I am ready to submit them to my company, its very easy to sort them by date and create an expense report. The expense report includes images of the receipts and then an itemized listing of whats there. I email the whole thing to my company. Where I was once spending several hours I am now only spending A FEW MINUTES! But the scanner and program could definitely use some improvements. For one, I wish I didnt have to restart my computer to get it to recognize the scanner- I wish I could plug it in and it would be ready to go. And while the software program is certainly fine- there are a lot of things that would make it great. For one, you cant choose which data fields show up in your expense report. This means a lot of data fields are included which I dont need and have left intentionally blank. It also means that the report cuts off some of the data fields I wish to include (specifically notes about each receipt- they are cut off from view half the time, but other fields which I left blank are still there, visible.) Luckily, my company doesnt mind so much what my expense reports look like, but if this program were great, I could tailor the expense reports to fit my needs. As it stands now every expense report is the same and you cant edit it. All in all I am very happy with it- I love not having to tape and staple physical receipts anymore!

> 3 daySo I get this little scanner and I am so excited about it. I follow the directions, install the software and go to scan... Nothing. I try a black and white receipt from Wendys - it picks up a few spots. I try a receipt from getting gas yesterday. Streaks. I try to scan a business card from a woman I sat next to on my last flight - streaks. I try it in color. Still streaks. Then I try to call support. I get a phone hell saying there is no live customer support. I sent a message, like that is going to do any good. I called sales and got a lady named Giulia who claims to be the director of sales but has no idea how to help a customer. I tell her it doesnt work. She tells me to send an email. I tell her that I will return it rather than send an email because I need to talk to a person. She says (again) we dont have live support. I ask her who will answer the email. She says technical support. I ask to talk to them. She says they do not have incoming phones (which is BS - what if one of the support techs kids get sick or hurt at school?). I tell her that I will give her my number and they can call me back.She says (again) that they have no live support. I then tell her that I need to return this brick as it does not work. She asks me who I bought it from. I told her that I bought it from them..... this goes on and on. Needless to say, it is now my mission in life to assure that nobody I know, personally or professionally, ever buys anything from this company unless they want a piece of junk that does not work and for which there is no support. If people want to throw their money away, buying this product is one sure way to do do so, based on my experience. This might be the best little scanner in the world but since I cannot get support, and I have followed their directions and it does not work, I guess I will never know.
