Installation was super easy

Had my old hub get blown out during a lightning strike and since I have had very good success with my old NetGear hub I bought another and I am very satisfied with the new one. Bought a ethernet protection device to help protect the new one.

Ive bought a lot of Netgear consumer devices over the years and generally been happy with them. This switch wasted a lot of my time, although the one I got says it has the normal yellow LEDs for 100/10 mbit connections (and green for full gigabit connections) it lies, it only has green LEDs. Both connections in the picture would be yellow on a switch that had the (previously standard) yellow LEDs for slower connections.

Bought this switch in 11/2019, died today 04/02/21. Used this to wire my home theater gear in a dust-free and well-ventilated area...it worked well enough up to this point, but even at $20 I expect more than 18 months of life.

Works like it is supposed to

There was nothing really to install. I plugged in the power and then each of ethernet cables (It does matter which port you plug anything into.) and magically the whole system worked. I now have 5 ethernet devices connected to one internet router. Quick and simple.

Literally plug and play. I have all my streaming devices fed by this and theyre all happy. Better speeds compared to wireless. If you have a TV, streaming box, game consoles, etc with an ethernet port, just install this switch in your entertainment desk and hardwire everything to it.

Its an automatic switch - it either woks or it doesnt. I have two Netgear switches already and bought this to replace a TP Link which bit the dust during a reboot. Like I said, it works fine.

Love the feel of the solid metal housing. I feel confident I can drop it or have something drop on the switch and it will still be fine. Works fantastic.

My house is wired with cat6 to each room, but was wired for telephone. I bought this switch to convert my home to hardwired Ethernet.
