> 3 dayI purchased this as a replacement for an older SMC switch which was malfunctioning and am very pleased. File transfer speeds between our desktops and the server in the basement are faster. And 16 ports (rather than 8) means I dont have to pick and chose which rooms are on the network. The cables come out of the front which may or may not be an issue depending upon location and wiring desired arrangement.

> 3 dayNeeded a large 16 port switch to replace the two older 8 port switches I use. So easy to install and with the short flat cables I also bought, the installation is so much neater. Just plug and play, no setup required. I also replaced two other 8 port switches and now my whole hard wired system seems faster but cant honestly prove that.

Greater than one weekI have AT&T Fiber, but I prefer to use my own equipment. I disabled the wifi & connected my Asus mesh system to the gateway. The mesh device only has a single LAN port, so throwing this switch in the mix allowed me to connect my wired devices in my office to continue to be managed by my mesh router instead of AT&Ts gateway.
