Plug and play is the way to go. This device was easy to setup and works great. I wouldn’t Spend my money on anything else.

After 3 months of use this switch has served me well. No complaints. I use it on my home theater and it is downstream from another Netgear switch. My Xbox tests at internet speeds up to 700mbps on 1000 Mbps Internet service.

For a simple non switched solution. Ive used this particular hub many times in residential AV closets to solve port issues with generally no issues at all.

I bought it in August and opened it to use in December. Guide book told me to install Netgeat Insight app and it says product can not added . I tried lots. Amazon support told me to contact Netgear

This ethernet switched worked perfectly for slightly longer than the warranty period (15 months) and abruptly broke. The only changes in circumstances were connecting the switch to a new router and having the ethernet cables removed then plugged back in (carefully, I thought). Three of the eight indicator lights no longer flash upon power-on, the indicator for connection 8 remains dimly lit whether or not a cable is plugged in, and no internet is passed through despite the allocation of IP addresses. Technical support were very generous with their time but no wiser than me as to the problem.

This was needed to change the network structure. Too many devices. Slowing the net speed. Things dropping out. Changing the WIFI Router as the Main Hub. Using the switcher to create new branches. Needed for the new wireless printers added.
