Im new in the ethernet world...Covid made me take the leap into the 21st Century. Bought this switch to help with our live stream at church. Im assuming it is working like its supposed to. Couldnt beat the price....bought a second one for our home.

Swapped with old switch. Worked great immediately.

I always recommend these as they are sturdy and have a lifetime warranty. Ive had a couple go bad but they do send out a replacement fairly quickly.

Needed to split up ethernet for our new starlink it worked well

Netgear has for years been one of the top makers of network hardware. This is a nice switch because it is compact and can easily be used for travel if needed. I currently have 5 devices hooked up and it works great.I have a laptop, pc, voip ata, NAS and a travel router hooked up. Just a word of advice If you want to get good speeds invest in good cables as well. CAT6 cables arent that expensive and will work better than CAt5e especially If you need longer distances (over 14ft).

This Netgear GS116 is a well-built metal box with 16 ports. It works great, has a nice solid feel, and it wears the classic Netgear Blue which looks nice in my lab. I bought this 16-porter to take the place of my two Netgear 8-port GS108 switches, which are fine products, too, but I needed an additional switch for rearranging my lab.

Since I was not looking for a smart switch, this was more than adequate. I was able to hook each room and TV to the switch so I could watch movies from different computers.

Easy to use plug and play; immediate improvements in LAN performance; intuitive interface with just enough features to manage the switch.
