Went to install this today. Norton would not accept the key number. No longer valid. can,t return product, even with an invalid unaccepted key number. Which could not be known before the install. Bought this in good faith, I now have an unusable product

Norton is a good product and a good value when purchased from Amazon. However, you still have to put in a payment option, even though you have already paid Amazon. I know you can turn off auto renew, but still you should not have to put in a credit card, when you have already paid.

I ordered from Amazon and the card key came in 2 days. I tried to get platinum but Amazon would not bill it to my card and Amazon CS couldnt see why, as premium billed immediately. Install without deleting my old Norton was easy and no problems. It takes a few minutes for the Norton 360 to show in the bottom right on win10. My VPN is seriously questionable though. Do a speedtest, note the good speeds without VPN enabled. Enable VPN and do a speedtest. Mine for wireless drops from some 50/60%. I verified this of several wireless devices. Plus in the speedtest it shows, with VPN enabled, the cities for the test in Ohio or Kansas - Im in Memphis and always test in memphis - unless the VPN is on. AND, the VPN enabled shows in the lower left of the speedtest that Im routed to AMAZON!! When VPN is off it shows Xfinity. I might suggest buying from Norton and go through their servers for VPN, I HAVE TO ASSUME IT WOULD GO THROUGH NORTON SERVERS, but as I see it, Im routed through Amazon with VPN on and the drop I get is totally unacceptable and I seriously doubt they have customer service who would know anything about the VPN and servers. I get Norton protection, 10 devices, and with VPN my internet speeds are all but dead. My attachments show the Amazon in lower left when VPN is enabled.

If you have any previous years versions of (Windows) Norton Internet Security and Norton VPN, please DELETE them!!! Because the installation of this resurrected Norton 360 does NOT! If you dont, you probably will have to waste a lot of time trying to diagnose problems. I went on the Community Forums to find this out and that I needed to download and run Norton Remove and Replace too. Also, if you have Malwarebytes, be sure to disable it when installing N360. For 2019, Norton changes their main products, and these products are different for retail than on Nortons website. One finally installed, it works great. One note, that upon any start-up or reboot, it takes considerable longer for initial for N360 to initialize on Windows desktops and laptops. Also, dont have the built-in VPN on the Start Programs. Just use it when need it. Ive been using Norton for many years. If it werent for the setup issues, I would have given it 5 Stars.

Symantec is just plain anti-customer and anti consumer. They force you to do auto renewal and gets you for over $100 when a key like this is sold for $40. And then they make it hard for you to use the key without any easy online renewal like you get with Playstation Plus, Xbox live, or any other sane subscription service like Amazon prime. But it is still better to buy the key, slog thru their customer support with a live person and save $60. And DO NOT forget to delete you credit card info from their website so their auto renewal will be busted.

Several things that went in to my 2 star rating: 1 - The software itself is good at catching things. I have no issue with the software! 2 - Norton the company seems to be going all in on making it incredibly difficult for their customers to disable the auto renew settings that they clearly want enabled. They want this enabled so you par twice the amount for their auto renew as you can buy it for on Amazon. When I went to the website to shut it off, they FORCE you to chat with their tech support in order to disable. BEWARE, YOU CANNOT disable the software without doing this ridiculous step, that wasted ten minutes of my time. 3 - Their website is a joke. It barely loads, and you have to refresh a dozen times to get content back to the screen. I have been a customer of Norton for 15 years. I am DONE when this subscription expires.

I certainly would not buy it again. Everyone is different when it comes to PC protection but I didnt like Norton 360 and it was like pulling teeth for them to return my money because they automatically charged you for the next year even though I canceled as soon as i joined. What a hassel. Would not do business with them again.

This was a tremendous value - you get so many more services from Norton in this version than previous years, including Lifelock monitoring and protection. Our family uses so many devices now, this covers all of em with a couple to spare just in case we add another tablet or phone. Like the service I get and the ability to tune up my PC. Also love the VPN protection on mobile devices because it protects us so much better when we use public wifi at hotels or airport. Just great. Im okay with auto-renewal feature, by the way, because Norton has been really good about notifying ahead of time so that I have time to shop for a better price (as I did this time around)! Easy install. Whats not to like?
