There are many brands of antivirus/security programs on the market but none have been around as long as Norton’s. I have use them all and I still run two more security programs at least once a month to be sure nothing is on my devices. The only one I keep running 24/7 is Norton’s 360 Premium. Also now own by LifeLock which is a top notch service. If you subscribe to LikeLock you get Norton’s for free. Otherwise this subscription is the best on the market covering ten devices including smart phones and pads. Outstanding for desktops and laptops. Does not huge memory or slow your computer. Runs lightning fast in computers with the newest chips. Protects you on the browser, too. Can be a password manager on your laptop. Runs in the background but encourage full scans at least once a month (I do weekly). Tech support is great. The first time you create an account at their website which allows you to easily download the program to any device and keeps track of which devices you are using. Also gives you reports on overall security. Easy to install and even uninstall if the need arises. The program is updated several times a day. If you leave your device running, will do automatically. Lots of notifications but not ads! The cost of this subscription is the lowest anywhere and is a bargain. This is my number one security program for over 20 years and I have tried them all or still use a few of them as a double check especially for malware and other unusual program flaws which can put you at risk. Avoid all software programs made in Russia or China. Just US made programs. This program is all you need to protect your devices and data. Do backup your data monthly. Can use a cloud service but I still backup to a hard drive monthly.

It sucks to have to sign up for the auto renewal but that can be turned off at any time I learned that it also includes the bottom utilities software after logging into the norton website. It also comes with 100GB of cloud storage and not 75 as advertised. I do t use it but if you do it is included. I got it from norton and not the amazon version Amazon advertises that their version Includes the 100GB. No need to go with the mason version since the norton version I clouded the same amount and also norton utilities. Life lock also had an alarm that some of my Info was found from a data breach of zynga games in 2019. I knew about this already but is good to know they really check the files. For 30 dollar not and for 10 devices. I do not plan on using the vpn, doesn’t have good reviews. Should I test it I will update the review here.

I have used Norton for many years, and it works well for protecting my computers, except for one critical miss: Norton cant fix the Norton Auto-renew virus/malware. Norton is forcing subscriptions on users and then more than one month before the subscription expires they put a huge charge on your credit card. For example, Norton Premium for 10 devices costs about $35, but after one year they charged my card $115 for the 2nd year, without getting my approval. I was able to contact Norton to remove the charge; just be prepared that when you purchase Norton you are purchasing a headache. For me, I wont use Norton again, even though the software itself seems good. If Norton fixes their malware when I would consider coming back, but for now Ill go with a competitor.

I certainly would not buy it again. Everyone is different when it comes to PC protection but I didnt like Norton 360 and it was like pulling teeth for them to return my money because they automatically charged you for the next year even though I canceled as soon as i joined. What a hassel. Would not do business with them again.

I needed at least 6 licenses. Norton does not give long term users any discounts. They offered a 5 license version for at least 3x this price. I have 4 more licenses left and now I can add to other devices that I usually didnt protect because I was a few short. Installation -- easy -- just uninstall the older version, (keep settings), install the new version and up and running. Also, they have greatly improved adding to other machines. You go to your account and simply click on the machine, enter the licence, and when that machine comes on, it will automatically update. So, I could update all the machines without having to boot them at that time, and could just wait until they came on line. I also used a barcode scanner to enter the license so double easy. I sure dont like entering in 25 char keys. (Barcode scanners are really cheap now). Of course the other way is to type once into NOTEPAD, and copy/paste into the license field -- but I wanted to use my barcode scanner for fun. Be sure to remember to disable the auto renewal at least 2 months before the time. I was waiting and suddenly saw a charge about 1.2 month before the expiration! But that was ok, Norton reversed the charges without issue! No question asked and I told them it was a price issue and suggested they meet these competitive prices at least for long term customers! MY experience with Cust Service with Norton has always been great and they have always been helpful especially when I had one of those not-bad viruses hit and with some minor issues. (I allowed them to take over the machine and that got it done fastest, PLUS I learned a few tricks when they did their cleaning)

Have been using and trusting Norton Anti-virus for over 20 years. Great technology, seems to work. That is the key reason I have renewed every year. Indeed, the top three reasons is that their anti-virus software seems to work. However, I hate their idiot user approach. Tells me I have a possible virus in one email out of thousands in my Thunderbird email folder, and do I want to quarantine the entire folder? Absolutely NOT. Can not toss away thousands of messages. They should provide info, such as the message sender, subject, date & time. hate the renewal policy. After installation, if you allow them to auto renew another year, the cost is several times higher than a new purchase with a new serial number. Just buy new, get a virtual credit card from your bank with a $ limit, and use that for the required auto-renew data. Mixed feelings, but overall recommended because their anti-virus software works. The bonus feature of cloud backup is nice. Recommended as part of a safe computing strategy.

The big lesson learned upfront: Use of this pre-paid subscription requires that you enroll in auto pay with active billing information at the time of product activation. You can later turn off auto pay - but if you do not intend on using the auto pay feature at all, why even provide those details to begin with. I have been a very long time user of this product and recently was faced with a new requirement to provide billing information to utilize a product that I believed I had pre-paid in full to use for the year. I admittedly missed the fine print myself that indicates to the more informed users that there were additional requirements that need to be met to activate this product. Be ready to provide billing details as described in the product literature enrolling yourself in their Auto Renew feature if you intend to activate and utilize this product. I chose not to use this product I purchased as a result of this recent change and ate the cost of my own lack of product review upfront. This may still be a product that works for others if auto renew and their updated terms of service are acceptable to you as a consumer. The new terms of service are just outside the comfort zone in which I choose to share my billing information. The product I am sure works just fine based on my soon to expire service, but the updated terms of service and activation processes are outside the bounds of what I am willing to agree to.

The product does EXACTLY what is promised. The installation instructions are slightly different than the box. Just open the app create an account and the rest is pretty self explanatory. This product is something that you can’t do without.

If youve used Norton in the past and dealt with the hassle of renewing with a retail product key when updating multiple devices you already know. If not, be forewarned: Norton will try to get you into renewing at full retail at every corner. About as convoluted as it gets. Why Norton cant just allow a registration of a new paid retail key simply then automatically update existing devices is a mystery. Also the auto renewal with a payment in place will kick in at full price unless you proactively cancel.
