As scam. HORRIBLE, I contacted the General Attorneys office and it is NOT LEGAL in Massachusetts and probably illegal in other states as well. A fully TIME LIMITED paid service that FORCES customers to provide future payment information. I spent hours with support to no avail, no matter what you do they say NO! They BS you saying they want to check your REGION matches your serial, OMG!!!! What a crack of feces. HOW TO CANCEL THE AUTO RENEW & DELETE YOUR BILLING INFO: - Enter your payment information (yes...to use something you ALREADY PAID) and activate your product. - Go to support and search for Cancel your automatically renewing subscription or similar (the link that says CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION RENEWAL under MY SUBSCRIPTIONS tab DOESNT WORK!!!). - Once you get the ChatBot support screen (they call it Kate) select all options that lead to cancelling subscription renewal. - The ChatBot will do everything it can to keep you on subscription auto renewal, REJECT IT ALL or you cant delete your credit card later!!!!. - After the ChatBot acknowledges the subscription auto renewal cancellation go to MY SUBSCRIPTIONS and check it is disabled (it now should say ACTIVATE SUBSCRIPTION RENEWAL this means it is disabled). -Once it is cancelled you can go to the BILLING INFORMATION tab and delete (trash icon at the bottom) the credit card or PayPal account to remove info that they do not deserve. For a self proclaimed security company the pry in your personal life and forcefully gather your information a lot. I hate (I have not written this word in decades) Norton and Lifelock, truly do. I will push for a boycott and will test Kaspersky and Mcafee as replacements. I have really had it with Norton and Lifelock, they will be hacked and all our info will become vulnerable.

9/22 update and new 3 star review - I just wasted an hour screwing around with a logon to a long time financial site on my iPhone due to the Norton VPN. I was at the gym and I activated the VPN (at Nortons urging) and I set it to turn off automatically when using a safe wifi like the one at home. The VPN did NOT turn off automatically and it prevented my logon to the long used financial site. I uninstalled and reinstalled the financial app, restarted my phone and tried a few other tricks. The App would NOT work. Then I remembered the Norton VPN and once I shut it off, the financial app worked fine. The Norton VPN slows data down to a crawl and can cause issues like I just described above - it can be very annoying to use. Original 4 star review - For a new account, this Norton 360 Platinum product key from Amazon is a great deal, no issues or complaints. For $30, it’s awesome and thanks Amazon for the opportunity to get a great deal. I like the Norton password vault, most of the features and functions but there is one part that of the Norton experience that is challenging - adding this key card to an existing account. My review for this key card for a new account is 5 stars but I give it 4 stars overall because as I mentioned, the process for adding this key to an existing account is annoying and can be time consuming and the VPN can be a pain. I’ve had Norton since 2008 and the renewal “game” has become increasingly challenging. Norton wants you to auto renew your existing subscription and then upcharge on the auto renew - by a LOT. In this case, this product key is $30 and the Norton subscription renewal price is $114.99 as of the writing of this review - September, 2022. Norton used to have 2 and 3 year subscriptions. That’s all gone. They also had a far easier way to renew years ago months before the end of the subscription and that was right on the Norton account page. Not anymore. I suspect Norton relies on folks to forget about their auto renewal agreement and they get charged full retail price. There are all sorts of tricks and games required to buy this $30 key card from Amazon and use it as a renewal for an existing Norton subscription renewal. Read the reviews and you will see all manner of approaches to avoid getting hosed by Norton. It can be done but it’s not easy or quick. My process is to go online with the chat folks on the Norton site who will assist you entering this key for a renewal. There is no pricing squabble because you already have the Amazon purchased Norton key in hand - that saves some time. I was very polite with the overseas service folks and very careful not to click on any link too fast even when the service person asked me to click on them. I asked many polite questions along the way and after about 20 minutes, we had it sorted out and my existing subscription got renewed by 12 months with this Amazon purchased key which saved me about $85 over the “auto renew” price. You really don’t have a choice - either buy this key from Amazon for $30 or get “auto-renewed” by Norton for 4 times as much, your choice. Hope that helps! PS - Norton also tried to upsell constantly. They want you pay list for Lifelock, constantly send out fear sales notifications that your account is at risk from the dark web, any and all data incursions worldwide and spammers. Its a constant attempt to grab cash. Be prepared.

Have been using and trusting Norton Anti-virus for over 20 years. Great technology, seems to work. That is the key reason I have renewed every year. Indeed, the top three reasons is that their anti-virus software seems to work. However, I hate their idiot user approach. Tells me I have a possible virus in one email out of thousands in my Thunderbird email folder, and do I want to quarantine the entire folder? Absolutely NOT. Can not toss away thousands of messages. They should provide info, such as the message sender, subject, date & time. hate the renewal policy. After installation, if you allow them to auto renew another year, the cost is several times higher than a new purchase with a new serial number. Just buy new, get a virtual credit card from your bank with a $ limit, and use that for the required auto-renew data. Mixed feelings, but overall recommended because their anti-virus software works. The bonus feature of cloud backup is nice. Recommended as part of a safe computing strategy.

I grew up using Norton and it really helped protect me against viruses all over the internet. Once I started using a Mac, I gave up on firewall protection. But thank goodness for this product. I didnt even know they made this product for Macs, but they do now! I purchased the key card and its such a great deal. I can protect up to 10 devices so I made sure to stop by my parents house and updated their firewall as well. If you get lucky like I did, you can buy this product at such a great price and share with all the people you know who are too lazy to protect their computers... Dont be one of those people. The user interface was easy to use and a huge improvement from how I remembered it. Norton definitely makes it easy for everyone to perform a scan and remove harmful things!

Stop with the pop-ups already. If this was really premium you wouldnt hijack my computer with out of place (so you cant close it easily) web page pop-ups (that youre supposed to be blocking), telling me I need to buy more software.

I have been using Norton for a long time and find that I do not have any issues. It might slow my system down a little but I can not tell that it does I used McAfee when I first stated using a computer in the early 90s and I guess the last time I used it was in 1997 my reason for stop using them was I bought McAfee and when I installed it it ask me if I would like to extend my time for a second year and I did but at the end of my first year they forgot about me paying for a second year so I switched to Norton and have not looked back. I like the fact that if you leave your computer for any time for any reason it preforms a scan. One thing that I do not like is some times it blocks me from a web site and windows does the same thing. They do not want you to log on to some of the political sites. But I have never gotten a virus yet!!

The product itself is good. But I dont agree Norton force you to submit your payment information for its auto-renew purpose. I suggest you just use a prepaid VISA or MasterCard debit card, like $50 value, input its information when you install this software, then you just simply spend all the money on that debit card, so they cannot auto charge you when the time it is renewing. You just need to buy a new keycode then install it again.

When I installed the CODE for this item, it popped up that it could NOT BE DOWN LOADED. It gave me a PHONE NUMBER to call. When the person answered he said he was NORTON SECURITY AND I HAD A Virus!! Since it was a NORTON PRODUCT I TRUSTED him. He got access to my computer and was searching ALL MY ACCOUNTS! Luckily I had a GUT FEELING this was a SCAM, so I shut my computer off and proceeded to buy a new computer and change ALL MY ACCOUNTS and PASSWORDS. Do NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE. I reported it to Amazon Fraud Dept. and was refunded my money.
