> 3 dayI have always been a Norton fan when it comes to the protection of my PC. I also use many of the features available besides the antivirus. It amazes me that Amazon sells Norton much cheaper than you can buy it from Norton. As long as that is the case I will choose Amazon every year.

> 3 dayPlatform For Display: Key Card [12 Month, with Auto-Renewal]Edition: 10 Device When I installed the CODE for this item, it popped up that it could NOT BE DOWN LOADED. It gave me a PHONE NUMBER to call. When the person answered he said he was NORTON SECURITY AND I HAD A Virus!! Since it was a NORTON PRODUCT I TRUSTED him. He got access to my computer and was searching ALL MY ACCOUNTS! Luckily I had a GUT FEELING this was a SCAM, so I shut my computer off and proceeded to buy a new computer and change ALL MY ACCOUNTS and PASSWORDS. Do NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE. I am reporting it to Amazon Fraud Dept. and see if I can my money refunded.

Greater than one week9/22 update and new 3 star review - I just wasted an hour screwing around with a logon to a long time financial site on my iPhone due to the Norton VPN. I was at the gym and I activated the VPN (at Nortons urging) and I set it to turn off automatically when using a safe wifi like the one at home. The VPN did NOT turn off automatically and it prevented my logon to the long used financial site. I uninstalled and reinstalled the financial app, restarted my phone and tried a few other tricks. The App would NOT work. Then I remembered the Norton VPN and once I shut it off, the financial app worked fine. The Norton VPN slows data down to a crawl and can cause issues like I just described above - it can be very annoying to use. Original 4 star review - For a new account, this Norton 360 Platinum product key from Amazon is a great deal, no issues or complaints. For $30, it’s awesome and thanks Amazon for the opportunity to get a great deal. I like the Norton password vault, most of the features and functions but there is one part that of the Norton experience that is challenging - adding this key card to an existing account. My review for this key card for a new account is 5 stars but I give it 4 stars overall because as I mentioned, the process for adding this key to an existing account is annoying and can be time consuming and the VPN can be a pain. I’ve had Norton since 2008 and the renewal “game” has become increasingly challenging. Norton wants you to auto renew your existing subscription and then upcharge on the auto renew - by a LOT. In this case, this product key is $30 and the Norton subscription renewal price is $114.99 as of the writing of this review - September, 2022. Norton used to have 2 and 3 year subscriptions. That’s all gone. They also had a far easier way to renew years ago months before the end of the subscription and that was right on the Norton account page. Not anymore. I suspect Norton relies on folks to forget about their auto renewal agreement and they get charged full retail price. There are all sorts of tricks and games required to buy this $30 key card from Amazon and use it as a renewal for an existing Norton subscription renewal. Read the reviews and you will see all manner of approaches to avoid getting hosed by Norton. It can be done but it’s not easy or quick. My process is to go online with the chat folks on the Norton site who will assist you entering this key for a renewal. There is no pricing squabble because you already have the Amazon purchased Norton key in hand - that saves some time. I was very polite with the overseas service folks and very careful not to click on any link too fast even when the service person asked me to click on them. I asked many polite questions along the way and after about 20 minutes, we had it sorted out and my existing subscription got renewed by 12 months with this Amazon purchased key which saved me about $85 over the “auto renew” price. You really don’t have a choice - either buy this key from Amazon for $30 or get “auto-renewed” by Norton for 4 times as much, your choice. Hope that helps! PS - Norton also tried to upsell constantly. They want you pay list for Lifelock, constantly send out fear sales notifications that your account is at risk from the dark web, any and all data incursions worldwide and spammers. Its a constant attempt to grab cash. Be prepared.

> 3 dayAfter installing the product, the internet stopped responding quickly. The connection is hanging while Norton is doing something. When I turned it off, the internet begins connecting. I had expected that the antivirus/VPN/malware protector would run silently without interfering with the performance of your computer. It does not seemed to be the case because by the time it connects to VPN-Internet-Wi-Fi [I personally do not know the sequence of how it is getting connected] you should be ready to give birth. Also, live updates connected to Wi-Fi on the phone too. Thus, if you are not connected to Wi-Fi, you are not getting updates. I loved Norton before. Now, I have serious doubts about the performance & quality. It might improve with updates, but not it is a struggle based upon my experience.

> 3 dayStop with the pop-ups already. If this was really premium you wouldnt hijack my computer with out of place (so you cant close it easily) web page pop-ups (that youre supposed to be blocking), telling me I need to buy more software.

> 3 dayThe product does EXACTLY what is promised. The installation instructions are slightly different than the box. Just open the app create an account and the rest is pretty self explanatory. This product is something that you can’t do without.

> 3 dayI have used the Norton antivirus for several years, and it seems to work good. BUT, it is very expensive.

> 3 dayHave about 10 devices in the family, but only able to register LifeLock info for one person. So lets say you have grannys phone protected too, shell get the notices from LifeLock when they find something suspicious regarding the primary users personal information. Either that or its way too complicated. Continues to make Offers via On Screen pop-up banners for products already subscribed. Easy to install, yes... Easy to install properly, that can be debated. Requires sign up for auto-renewal subscription, which is NEVER preferable. But its pretty easy to opt out, however, upon opting out certaing features/services become unavailable. I dont plan to renew.

Greater than one weekLast time I used Norton Utilities, Peter Norton was still around and Symantec had just bought out Peter. At the time I felt it was a unwanted drag on system resources, of course the resources on a 386 or 486 were pretty scarce compared to whet weve had in the last 10 years. This version seems not to be pesky in that way. Ive not noticed any particular hit in performance on my AMD 3700X or my decade-old Stony Bridge and Ivy Bridge i7s. There are annoyances with the constant promotion of their Chrome extensions (of which I am mostly dubious), their VPN, and a variety of other parts of the product. Ive avoided most of these mostly out of distrust. And I already have a VPN. It did an excellent job of doing a complete scan, including my NAS (which I was happy to see). I am going to hope that I can avoid paying the full monte for another year, having put purchase of another package in my calendar for 11 months after installation. I am happier with this than I was with BitDefender or Eset similar packages. But I still think I ought to get at least the freeware version of Malwarebytes. Belt and suspenders, you see.<G>

> 3 dayIt slows down your computer so that was a huge negative for me. Although I LOVE the Norton vault to store my passwords and love the VPN function and LOVE THAT my pc has auto cloud backup based on my set schedule, I just dont find enough value because of the slower performance, thats my tipping point. I cant/wont use software/program that is going to slow me down as much as Norton has in recent years. I think I will stick to the free AVG download for future.. The price for 5 users on Norton is NOT BAD AT ALL but I am not wiling to sacrifice performance for that.
