> 3 daySwitched from McAfee. Both Norton and McAfee are good. However, Norton is a nuisance in daily trying to sell upgrades and add ons by making you believe that the program you just purchased is inadaquate. This action is a P.I.A.

> 3 dayI really despise how Norton does their auto renew. It is much cheaper to buy this, than to auto renew. But, in order to do that, you have to completely remove the current version, and reinstall this version. Its a ridiculous policy that Norton has.

Greater than one weekLove the features on Norton 360. Offers protection for 10 computer or mobile devices. Price is very reasonable and protection is above standard. Great value for the price!

Greater than one weekI have been using Norton for over 20 years without issue. They continue to innovate and bring new features to their products, many times without cost increase. They have been reliable and for the most part have required little user interaction to work. Sure, there are all kinds of settings you can tweak but I find that for me it works pretty much right out of the box (so to speak). I run the scans at regular intervals and follow other prompts when directed but beyond that it just runs in the background. I use the password manager feature and safe web browser extensions regularly as well as Life Lock. I also use the android version on my phone and tablet because I just know it works. As good as the product has been though I do have a minor complaint. I could do without many of the notifications I get on my computer. These are not product related notifications. Many are company notifications or notifications with an attempt to upsell me to a product I do not need or want. You have a right to send an email if I agreed and signed up for it however sending unsolicited notifications just because I purchased your software can drive away customers and is not a good company practice. Luckily, the number of notifications to this point has been small yet still enough to warrant this response. On the note of shady business practices is a larger complaint that I have with this company and that is with their autorenewal service. By purchasing and installing the software you agree to an autorenewal policy. That really shouldnt be a big deal but here is where it gets shady. First, they want to charge your credit card over a month in advance of your renewal date. Of course, they notify you of the impending charge but 6 weeks before it is due, seriously. Another big thing with autorenewal is the cost. If you dont cancel it, they will charge you MSRP (that is suggested retail price not actual retail price) which at this time was around $106. $106 for an item selling for $20 to $30. Of course, as soon as you cancel autorenewal they hit you with an offer to renew at the much lower price. How about you stick what you would like to charge and just charge me what it is currently selling for at the time and do it one week before the due date not 6 weeks. Again, I really like the product and its features I could just do without yet another company trying to take advantage. I run your software to try and keep from being ripped off not just to allow you to do it. I now relinquish the soapbox.

> 3 dayFirst - Nortons the best - always has been, I also use Malwarebytes and together they havent missed a thing for many, many years. Now... The claim is that you have to use a valid credit card to activate this and then you can go in and easily deactivate auto-renew. I tried using a Visa gift card - even one with a valid address and they wont accept those so had to use a real one. I dont want auto-renew as I dont want to pay 5 times the price one year from now - if this wasnt a scam then they would not be forcing it upon us. Now comes that easy part where you deactivate auto-renew right away - not gonna happen. The belief is youll just give up and forget about it and get slammed one year from now at a much higher price than you just finished paying today. Who knows, maybe in a year youll actually think, oh, that was nice of them and oh so easy, I didnt have to do anything accept pay a huge bill Stay the course - dont give up, after about 3 on line help sessions those elusive buttons that simply didnt seem to work will be activated for you by someone in India whos never heard of this before - trust me, this is the only thing these fellows have ever heard of. Ill be reading many reviews next year of other anti-virus software if this insane thing is still being force fed by Norton as, in my opinion, this is just about as bad as the viruses you bought it to protect you from.

> 3 dayI ordered from Amazon and the card key came in 2 days. I tried to get platinum but Amazon would not bill it to my card and Amazon CS couldnt see why, as premium billed immediately. Install without deleting my old Norton was easy and no problems. It takes a few minutes for the Norton 360 to show in the bottom right on win10. My VPN is seriously questionable though. Do a speedtest, note the good speeds without VPN enabled. Enable VPN and do a speedtest. Mine for wireless drops from some 50/60%. I verified this of several wireless devices. Plus in the speedtest it shows, with VPN enabled, the cities for the test in Ohio or Kansas - Im in Memphis and always test in memphis - unless the VPN is on. AND, the VPN enabled shows in the lower left of the speedtest that Im routed to AMAZON!! When VPN is off it shows Xfinity. I might suggest buying from Norton and go through their servers for VPN, I HAVE TO ASSUME IT WOULD GO THROUGH NORTON SERVERS, but as I see it, Im routed through Amazon with VPN on and the drop I get is totally unacceptable and I seriously doubt they have customer service who would know anything about the VPN and servers. I get Norton protection, 10 devices, and with VPN my internet speeds are all but dead. My attachments show the Amazon in lower left when VPN is enabled.

> 3 dayUnless you give them a credit card number with an outrageously (cancellable) overpriced mandatory renewal, no service for you. The funny thing is then that credit card will remain on file for life and no matter how much you beg them to delete it they wont. After you cancel it, then next year they will charge the card again if you dont cancel it on time. Ive been through that until I canceled my card.

> 3 day9/22 update and new 3 star review - I just wasted an hour screwing around with a logon to a long time financial site on my iPhone due to the Norton VPN. I was at the gym and I activated the VPN (at Nortons urging) and I set it to turn off automatically when using a safe wifi like the one at home. The VPN did NOT turn off automatically and it prevented my logon to the long used financial site. I uninstalled and reinstalled the financial app, restarted my phone and tried a few other tricks. The App would NOT work. Then I remembered the Norton VPN and once I shut it off, the financial app worked fine. The Norton VPN slows data down to a crawl and can cause issues like I just described above - it can be very annoying to use. Original 4 star review - For a new account, this Norton 360 Platinum product key from Amazon is a great deal, no issues or complaints. For $30, it’s awesome and thanks Amazon for the opportunity to get a great deal. I like the Norton password vault, most of the features and functions but there is one part that of the Norton experience that is challenging - adding this key card to an existing account. My review for this key card for a new account is 5 stars but I give it 4 stars overall because as I mentioned, the process for adding this key to an existing account is annoying and can be time consuming and the VPN can be a pain. I’ve had Norton since 2008 and the renewal “game” has become increasingly challenging. Norton wants you to auto renew your existing subscription and then upcharge on the auto renew - by a LOT. In this case, this product key is $30 and the Norton subscription renewal price is $114.99 as of the writing of this review - September, 2022. Norton used to have 2 and 3 year subscriptions. That’s all gone. They also had a far easier way to renew years ago months before the end of the subscription and that was right on the Norton account page. Not anymore. I suspect Norton relies on folks to forget about their auto renewal agreement and they get charged full retail price. There are all sorts of tricks and games required to buy this $30 key card from Amazon and use it as a renewal for an existing Norton subscription renewal. Read the reviews and you will see all manner of approaches to avoid getting hosed by Norton. It can be done but it’s not easy or quick. My process is to go online with the chat folks on the Norton site who will assist you entering this key for a renewal. There is no pricing squabble because you already have the Amazon purchased Norton key in hand - that saves some time. I was very polite with the overseas service folks and very careful not to click on any link too fast even when the service person asked me to click on them. I asked many polite questions along the way and after about 20 minutes, we had it sorted out and my existing subscription got renewed by 12 months with this Amazon purchased key which saved me about $85 over the “auto renew” price. You really don’t have a choice - either buy this key from Amazon for $30 or get “auto-renewed” by Norton for 4 times as much, your choice. Hope that helps! PS - Norton also tried to upsell constantly. They want you pay list for Lifelock, constantly send out fear sales notifications that your account is at risk from the dark web, any and all data incursions worldwide and spammers. Its a constant attempt to grab cash. Be prepared.

> 3 dayNow, when you try to renew your current version of Norton 360 with the latest Key Code by entering it in the Norton App, the Key Code is marked as not supported. You either have to logon to Norton and enter the Key Code and then download and reinstall (on 10 devices if you have a license for 10) or contact Support by chat and they will merge the new Key Code into the exiting Norton 360 Active Key Code to active all the associated devices. This is a REAL PAIN. I spent several hours trying to get this all worked out. I have been using Norton for more then a decade, but now considering other options.

> 3 dayUsed Norton for more than a decade. I could have done without the constant up-selling.
