> 3 dayHonestly it’s pretty expensive for a light bulb, but we had to have it. There is a surprising number of colors.

> 3 dayIn love with Hue. If you havent tried it, I know the cost seems ridiculous at $50 per bulb. But just go for it sometime with the hub and one bulb (color, not just the white, but the color), and I think youll have so much fun with this you wont regret it at all. For example, we use one in a bed lamp, and at night, can turn it blue or red for a night light, then white during the day. Versatility is the key there, and some fun. The kids have them in their rooms and love it. We put this in our 6 can lights and our room has a ton of flexibility in color and voice control (we use alexa as well - actually, because we use her, I rarely use the app to control my bulbs. Alexa turns them on and off for me via voice command. But I do like the app, too)

> 3 dayWorks either with a Philips “bridge” or with Apple TV or HomePod to allow you to use Siri to control each light separately. I purchased a separate Philips bridge and everything works great. I use Siri to change light colors or dim lights, turn on/off all lights, or just the kitchen or all lights in a designated parts of my home. For a soft white light I just ask Siri to change light color to “Vanilla” or “champagne”, or if you want a fluorescent white light just ask Siri to change it to “white” Other cool colors are “wine”, “lavender”, “jungle green”, “sky blue”, etc. I think all Crayola crayon color names also work. Will be buying several more of these lights.

24-11-2024I bought about 20 of these to replace all the cam lights in my house. The Hue app works fine and all, was able to find and label them. Was able to use them as regular lights with a switch. Can adjust colors fine. Integrated with Alexa relatively easily. However.... 90% of the time, I tell Alexa to turn off a zone, they will turn off, then one or two will flicker back on in each zone and at the default soft white color. Tell Alexa to them off again, they turn off, then same one or two flicker back on. Go into the app and turn them off and, you guessed it, flicker back on. I googled the issue and it’s not uncommon at all apparently. You can turn them off with the switch, but then that kinda defeats the purpose of voice activated and setting up routines, doesn’t it? Wish I’d saved my $800 and not bought these. Pretty disappointed.

> 3 dayExcellent lights, we have these in our vaulted living room. Great light output, great colors, easy app recognition with our home security system as well as Alexa. Though both of those can only dim, brighten, turn on, turn off. They cannot change the colors as of now though thats easy enough through the Hue app.

> 3 dayThese bulbs are amazing. Just replaced all of the bulbs in our house with the Hue bulbs and can now control every room with Google Assistant and a Google Home device. The app is great as well at setting up scenes and schedules. I have the kitchen lights turning on in the am and off as we leave. Then they come back on at sunset with a different with a different scene. The kids love to use them and they are easy to set up. It would be nice to see these bulbs around $15 less. The cost is a little higher and to do an entire house it’s a big investment. Outside holiday lights are all set up as well. Having the ability to change one bulb orange and one green for Halloween is great. Red and green for Christmas and the Super Bowl teams in Feb is excellent. I highly recommend
