> 3 dayI love these for getting the cable out of the way when gaming. BUT there is one small issue. The tension is too tight and i feel too much resistance on the headset. This is particularly annoying for games that are immersive and require alot of crouching and dodging. I have not tried the triangle type setup yet just to be clear but I dont see it helping much. To the creators: I recommend that you add a tension adjustment like some competitors have. I bought these for the quality of design and would not have batted an eye to pay 10 or 15 more for that feature.

23-11-2024Cant stand it. Cable twisted and pretzels above my head within minutes. Rough tug on the headset if I move anywhere. Sent a photo of my configuration to kiwi, and they couldnt find anything wrong with it. Id rather trip over the wire on the floor than ever use this system again.

Greater than one weekI think Ive said this about all the Kiwi products Ive purchased.. GAME CHANGER. Silent operation, At least 7 feet of pull with minimal resistance until you get to the last 2 feet. You know when youre about to run out of slack, but it doesnt interfere with the game. I can tell these people have played a lot of VR and know what is needed.

> 3 dayThis is an excellent thing to purchase if you have a VR kit of any sort and dont fancy the idea of tripping over the cable that they typically come with - itll keep it over your head so you can do whatever without tripping over the cable. 10/10, hope I dont have to buy again - but if these break I know where to get em.

19-11-2024Overall, I enjoy the cable management system. It takes a significant amount of effort to find out many things. A lot of them is to do with slack: Where to have it, in what amounts. I think this has improve my experience with many games; not stepping on a cord, or having it wrap around your body is nice. However, it transfers the issues elsewhere. Certain games where you can flail your arms around wildly, youll often be turning around and actually smack the cables in the air (unless you have a super high ceiling, then this problem might be easier to avoid - I dont have a high ceiling). This can be solved, but it seems to be rather difficult to get it perfect. The striking the cables arent the only issues. Finding where to have slack and where to have the little locks located is a hassle. When done wrong, you can experience significant head-tugging. Again, with a lot of work this can be minimized but not completely removed. Finally, the last thing that is annoying is that all the turning around you do can twist the cable up, causing it to wrap around your neck, slap you in the head, tug tightly, or become some sort of a nuisance. I simply had to take off my headset and unwind the cables after some long time. The games I experience the most annoyance with: Until you Fall and Gorn were specific issues. Games I felt it helped enhance the immersion: Half-Life: Alyx, Vox Machines (by a lot), most slower moving games in general. Even the Steam VR Lab was more enjoyable without a cable on the ground. High action/movement games can be a little annoying with these. With that said, this is only apart of the time, most of the time, these help keep the cable out of the way and make the experience awesome. Theres just a significant amount of effort I put in to get it to feel as good as I can make it. Otherwise than those issues Ive had, I couldnt be more satisfied with the product. Its pretty dang good quality and I think the price was fair for what it offers.

> 3 dayIve been doing VR for about a year. One thing I always hated about stand up games like Onward, Half Life Alyx is that you get tangled up so easily just after a couple turns. This completely fixes that. This is a essential item. I cannot recommend this enough! Alright, so for those of us with textured ceilings. You can either use the mounts and J-Hooks or there is another solution not involving them. You can use the sticky pads that it comes with. However, you will need a heat gun or a hair dryer. This will help it conform into the texture on your ceiling. Ive had it setup for a full day and put a few hours into VR and they seem pretty well stuck on.

> 3 dayI would have given it 5 stars, but it came with one of the reels missing. In the end I was only going to use 5, so I didnt bother trying to get this fixed. It would have been nice to have one as backup, but whatever. For VR these are now essential to me now.

Greater than one weekOverall Id say its a great product, definitely an improvement over having all your wires go to your feet. Takes some time to set it up for good comfort - having to compromise between having extra loose cable hang down and have it get in the way of your hands, or have the wires basically glued to the ceiling and have a bit less freedom of motion. Also, what I found to be better if you have your PC in front of you, is to guide the wires around so the cables leaving the HMD are going up and behind you a bit (so the centre of the triple hook setup is behind you); I experienced less HMD tug where it would almost rip the headset off my head (exaggeration, it would just move it off-centre and the view would thus get blurry and youd have to readjust). Thankfully they include lots of those sticky hooks, so I managed to use two as wire guides on the wall, three for the triple hook thing, and three extra to completely redo the triple hook thing since the first time it turned out too bunched up and too forward. The only real negative I have is how tight the pulleys are; I wish they were tight enough to be able to hold their shape and maybe 50g extra for wire tension, and thats it - my play space is quite small, maybe around 2mx1.5mx2m (WxDxH) and on the edges, or when I get down, the headset gets pulled back way too much where it just breaks the immersion. Especially if you dont have much slack in the cables and two pulleys have to start unwinding, so its double the force you have to combat. Not unusable, but if youre like me and dont like to tighten the HMD until you lose blood circulation, it does get a tad annoying having to pull your headset down to eye-level after crouching. Great for seated VR as well, and if you have a spinning chair - all the wires go up instead of getting tangled on the wheels!

> 3 dayThese pulleys run smoothly, are quiet, and seem to be built quite well. My medium sized complaint is that, due to the fact you cannot adjust the tension lower, the link to the headset tugs a bit too much. Im sure in a higher ceiling room with more cable to hang down itd work fine, but Id rather a few low tension ones be included in the box (or make the tension adjustable). Ive moderately fixed this problem by attaching a small weight to the last link, but this only works when pulling the headset downward. Tip for those reading: If you loop a rubber band around your VR cable, and a magnetic detachable keychain, you can easily detach and reattach your cable to these pulleys. Picture attached.

> 3 dayWorks great. Have tons of room to move. Adhesive has held up now for over a month of constant use. Only slight downside is that there is some tension when you get out of the triangle configuration space but if you have the cable coming off the top of the headset its not bad.
