The instructions tell you to make a triangle configuration, and that works really well. Within the play area you dont even feel it tugging on your headset, it also works as kind of a barrier for your play area, the farther you spread the points of the triangle the more resistance youll feel if you move away from under it. You can see from my photos that my triangle is configured wide, to keep me from going too far to any side of my room. So this can be adjusted for a larger play area, by making a smaller triangle configuration. I didnt use the wall hooks it comes with because Ive seen reviews mention paint stripping, so I bought some Command Strip hooks that are smaller, but so far theyre holding no problem. PRO TIP: if youre worried about cable twisting, just loop your cable over the metal ring in the center of the triangle on its way to the headset, as seen in my photos. This makes it so every time you spin, the pulley wire and the cable become intertwined, giving you physical indicator or twisting occuring and allowing you to untwist to where its supposed to be.

I love this system, but it can be a pain. When Im playing VR, I get tired after 2 hours and if I try to sit down or move a good distance away, the tension feels like somebody is trying to pull the headset off of my head, even if I squat.

This product is exactly what you need to keep the VR cables up and away from your play space.

I bought my son the Valve Index for Christmas, and he purchased these later. I was very impressed with how easy they were to set up. How well they stick to the ceiling and how quiet they are. Well worth the money.

I get tangled up in the cord anymore which is a huge plus. But you need to be careful if you physically turn a lot. It will twist the headset cord at the top really badly if you dont keep an eye on it. Also you will need to take the headset off most of the time to properly untwist it which can be a bit inconvenient if your in the middle of something. Also it takes a bit of time to get used to sense it pulls upwards on the headset senses its being suspended above your head. You will also need to spend a bit of time adjusting the cord to make it feel comfortable on your head.

Right out of the box I stretched out a pulley to test how silent it was. The claim of silence seems to mostly be based on the rubber that deadens the retraction click and this works well enough to be silent within vr even if not outside of it. That said, I immediately doubted the product after stretching it out further. The reason for deducting two stars is due to the tension ramping up as the cord is pulled out. The only adjustment is to change the slack but, without a corresponding adjustment to tension, this feature is nearly pointless. The recommended triangle setup really does work flawlessly for standing play but the pull becomes too noticeable after 1 or 2 steps in any direction. My space measures 3 meters by 3.5 meters according to the steam vr room setup so 1 or 2 steps is not sufficient. I spent a couple hours experimenting and here is what works best for my setup. First off, 6 pulleys is not enough so I ditched the triangle setup. Im very glad that more adhesive hooks were included than needed. I still have 3 points of contact with the ceiling but ended up chaining the pulleys together. 1st point nearest the pc has 1, 2nd point has 2, 3rd point has 3. I found that the easiest way to calibrate this was to place the headset into the corner. Each link of the chain could then be inspected and the rubber gripper on the cord adjusted until all pulleys were about the same length. A balance must be struck between ensuring that no pulley is stretched too far yet without the cord dangling low enough to entangle your neck or hands. Overall, this setup is decent but Im probably going to need to order a second kit. There just are not enough points of contact with the ceiling to keep the cord high enough. Ill likely have leftovers but I figure the rest can be spares. This would be a 5 star product if there was a way to adjust tension. This would be a 4 star product if they were more open about the requirements for a full room setup and sold a 10 pack going for about 1.5 the cost.

    Greater than one week

I’ve got this thing set up running up my wall and then onto the ceiling for my rift s and it’s like playing on a quest. Putting it on the ceiling is nice the only thing to be cautious about is any ceiling fans.

I love this and this it is a must have for vr gaming. It is nice not to trip over your cables or get tangles in them or guests getting tangles in them. 10/10 will recommend.

10 out of 10 ...... made my VR experience is 1000 Xs better ...... much more comfortable than the wire handing off my left shoulder ...... I was slightly hesitant at first because the price was lower than other wire harness things .... but when it came in and I opened it I was super excited, definitely a great value for your money .... even the packaging is nice lol .... the pulleys and wire and .... I dont know what to call it , but the bottom part that your headset wire goes .... all that is smooth and has a nice matte finnish. Idk what to say other than 10 out of 10 ..... I even put a pic of it

I havent installed it yet, but the quality and design looks to be very good, just one small issue is it didnt include the ring hook. Im sure I can come up with a work around, but just thought to put that out there.
