Im in the process of running my 5th kg of filament through this printer. Ive used 2 brands of ABS and 3 different specialty PLA types so far with this machine. I am really impressed by the quality and consistency of the prints. No problems sticking to the build plate (plastic side of the spring steel mat that adheres to the magnets in the build plate). This machine is rock solid in every way (mechanically, and firmware stability). This is my second Qidi printer. My first was a Qidi 1 dual extruder. I still like that machine, but this X-Plus is so much better. The design is well thought out, the extruders are so easy to remove/swap/clean--they are modular, connected by a single flex cable to the machine (no more dangling wires to deal with). The toutch screen is very nice, and the controls are self-explanatory. Right out of the box, operation has been easy, without the need for glue sticks, tape, trial and error calibrations, or any other forms of voodoo most printers require. Qidi has worked hard improving their machines over time, and it really shows in this product. Yes, $1000 is a lot of money. But, you get a printer with quality beyond that price. You also get really wonderful tech support. They are pleasant, very outgoing, and really know their stuff. They treat the customer with respect, and assume you are intelligent and capable. They have no problem explaining technical details at any level you are comfortable with. I was surprised during my first interaction about this machine when I sent an email in the afternoon, got a detailed response that evening, replied to it in the morning, and got a response right after my reply. They must work 12 hour shifts! Here is my workflow, in case someone is interested: (0) From work.... (1) Design in Solidworks. (2) Slice in Simplify3D. (3) Power on the printer remotely using a WiFi connected relay I wired into Breakpoint Board. Qidi guided me through bypassing the Breakpoint Board in order to use an IOT power socket, but I found I prefer keeping breakpoint functionality (it remembers where the printer left off if power fails, or it is turned off during a print), and thats why I used a WiFi relay board. (4) Send the gcode file I created with Simplify3D to the printer via the Qidi Print software (I connect to my home network through a VPN, so everything is on the same subnet), and select the option to print. (5) Watch the action using 3 different cameras (Wyze Cams). (6) If anything unusual were to happen, I can remotely switch the power off, and optionally resume the print when I get home. Not Octoprint, but it works very well for me, and its very simple. Excellent build quality, design, tech support, and value! The Qidi X-Plus does everything I want, and does it well.

The QIDI 3d printer arrived quickly. It was packaged to perfection - better packaging than most everything that I have purchased. I followed the setup procedure, and cut the test part with no issues. Since then I have printed several parts including one which took seven hours. All turned out exactly as expected, and I am a newcomer to 3d printing. I highly recommend the QIDI TECH X max.

Fantastic machine. Easy setup, good control features, excellent results with no to little adjustments needed. Highly recommend and compared to friends’ printers. We’ve printed PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU, clear PLA. Now on to carbon-polycarbonate. Highest rating I’ve ever given.

We bought 8 of these for our schools and they are working great. We did run into some snags when we were setting them up but their tech support was really good so we were able to get that straightened out fairly quickly. Would recommend if you are looking for a mid sized 3D printer.

Very happy with my first 3D printer. I have been designing parts using FreeCAD and exporting to QiDi Print Parts printed great in my opinion. I have trying other types of filaments and contacted their technical support for help which responded the next day with all the printer setting needed. I like the flexible magnetic build plate which makes removing printed parts easy. I am not an 3D printing expert but I have had very positive experience with this printer.

Very solid machine on the hardware side but needs some dialing in and support has your back.

This was my first 3d printer and I was nervous about how much time it would take me to learn how to use it. It was incredibly easy to use right out of the box and has been very user friendly without any experience in 3d printing whatsoever. I was successfully printing parts right away and have used it consistently for 6 months now with minimal issues. I did have one problem with the extruder (which was either a result of user error or the material I was using) so I contacted the company for help. Linda in customer service took great care of me right away. They sent a replacement extruder for a very reasonable cost and helped me understand my issue and also provided advice and answered other questions I have. I have been very impressed and would highly recommend this printer for beginners. At some point I may get another one the larger model (XMax).

I received my QIDI X-Plus II 09/25/2022 and it has been running pretty much every day since the first day. I thought I had a problem when I first started printing with ASA. I contacted tech support and received a quick response and was back to printing by the next morning. The problem was my lack of experience using ASA and the printer was working normally. A few days ago, I started having problems with noise. I again contacted tech support explaining my symptoms. The next morning I received a detailed response instructing me to update the printer firmware (very easy to do) and within 4 days I had a repair part in my hand. This is my first printer. I purchased QIDI because of their reputation and because I wanted to go right to work printing. This printer has met my every expectation. Also, Alex in tech support has been the best and very responsive.

This printer is excellent. I used the entire spool of PLA it came with and am now on my 2nd spool. Setup was very easy, same for using Qidi Slicer. I recommend watching videos on youbube to prepare if youre a beginner. Recently upgraded the slicer to 6.1.8 and like the printer discovery feature (good when you use DHCP on your network and the printer IP changes every now and then) My only complaints, and they are very minor: 1. the time to print and filament used numbers are not stored in the .gcode file. Those numbers display when you slice, but when you save the gcode without printing, and reload it later to print, those numbers are gone; 2. my printer is a bit isolated in my home and it would be great if you could query the printer from the slicer software to find out if the printer is idle, how long until its finished with the current print, remove old print files from the printer, etc.

[Update on 9/18/2021] I have the 3D printer for 1.5 years. I used it to print more than 100 face shield (for donation) during the early of the pandemic in 2020, and several of my projects. I used both PETG and PLA filament. The printer still works great. ------------------------------------------------- This is my very first 3D printer. Im still learning how to use it. I use it to print a container and a few bags holders. Works well so far. The only issue I got was about the leveling. There was once I had to cancel the printing, because of a loud nose coming from the printer. After I redo the leveling, the problem disappeared. Dont know what was the cause.
